This question has always stuck in my mind since we found out that Minato and Kushina were the parents of Naruto. Do you think Naruto with living parents would be as skilled/more skilled/less skilled that the current Naruto?

There are a few factors we need to consider. The sealing of Kurama, the death of his parents causing him to be left alone, and the hurtfulness from the villagers led to Naruto wanting to strive for greatness, thus becoming the 'hero' we see today. Kurama's power aside, Naruto has mastered a few high level techniques, mastering the art of sage mode, and going on further to complete the rasengan.

Though, in comparison to an alternate Naruto, who would rank better?

A Naruto with living parents, would be the son of the Minato, user of high level technique and master of time-space techniques, who was a strong enough shinobi to don the title of Fourth Hokage. As well as this, his mother Kushina (Fan-girl scream) was noted as a strong shinobi also, having had her own range of strong jutsu, and being an expert in the clan's Fuinjutsu abilities. A Naruto with jutsu and training from both parents, potential Sage Mode, and the vitality of the Uzumaki clan would also have produced a fine ninja. Though, his personality would differ greatly, he would have likely been more skilled from a young age than he was in the manga.

Please feel free to add your opinions on this, and who you think out of the two would be stronger/better?

I think an alternate Naruto wouldn't be as strong minded, determined and as powerful as he now. My reason for this is: With the lose of his parents he grew up knowing loneliness. Without this we lose the connection to Garra and Sasuke. He also formed the dream of being a Hokage with the lack of attention and love from the village this dream isn't really there. Yeah his Dad is the fourth but like Konahamaru (sp) at first he didn't want to be hokage but he followed Naruto and deiced that this was his goal. All in all with a new Naruto there isn't the same knuckle-Head Ninja that grew into a hero.

I think if his parents were alive Minato would push Naruto to use his Wind Release more (which is credited as a rare element btw). In addition to this, Naruto would be weaker.
