Chapter I: Introduction
“Ugh….” I said, I groaned as the sunlight phased through my window and sat upon my face and burned my eyes. I gripped the sheet and dragged it over my face, shielding me from the rays of sunlight just when my brother Dante called out, “Nayoka! You up yet?” he ran into my room, he was a 14 year old boy with a blond emo hairstyle with all his hair forming into a bang around his left eye. He was wearing a black marina accompanied by a blue skinny jeans and sneakers. “Get up” he said taking the sheet away from my face, “Fine... Fine” he went back downstairs and I got up out of bed and got ready for school.
I stood in front of the mirror to make sure everything was in order; I wasn’t fond of the school uniform, as I felt it was too formal. I was a 17 year old blonde-girl by the name of Nayoka Kiminoko; my hair was a long blonde hair that was never particularly in any other hairstyle. My school uniform was a white tucked-in shirt with a gray vest over it and a dark blue skirt that reached the knee. The boys would wear a white tucked-in shirt with a gray vest and dark blue pants with the occasional black shoes. “Hurry uuuuuuup” I heard Dante whine, “I don’t wanna be laaaaate.” I walked downstairs and went outside and began to walk to school with Dante, “You could’ve just leave me y’know, it’s not like we’re twins” I told him with a smile, but it seemed he wasn’t paying attention, his attention was fixed over in the woods with a frightful look on his face, I looked over in that direction too and I felt what Dante was feeling. It felt like bad luck and evil, “Go on ahead to school” I told him with a smile, “I’ll go check it out” and I quickly ran towards the woods without realizing that Dante was telling me something.
I was running quickly, with my one-strap schoolbag swaying heavily to and fro from my side. I heard a smash and dust began flying everywhere; I found a nearby tree and hid behind it. I was hearing sounds of laughter and grunts, I peeked out a bit and saw a middle aged man dressed in a black kimono with white highlights and a sword trying to fight a black beast-like creature with a white mask. The creature “Stop it!” I screamed running out on the battlefield in front of the dying man, “What are you doing human? No! Don’t worry about me, just run away!” the man responded, “No… I can’t simply just stand by and watch a deformed creature kill a person… That’s not how I work” I responded. I looked around for his sword, and I spot it; on the ground filled with dust around it, I dusted it off and lifted the sword and held it firmly in my hand and took an offensive stance. The man seemed startled for whatever reason I don’t know; “Ahhhh!!” I screamed as I charged at the creature when it swerved its hand in my direction, I ducked and ran past it and jumped to its face and pierced the sword through its mask and it disappeared.
“Why were you shocked earlier when I picked up the sword?” I asked the man as I helped him up, “The only person to wield a Shinigami’s sword, is the Shinigami himself and anyone else who has an equal or higher Reiatsu” he responded, “And I’m a 4th seat, Ikkaku Jacobi of the 6th squad” he finished. “Not sure what that all means but I guess it’s a good thing” I responded with a smile; I looked at my watch, “Oh no! I’m late! Sorry gotta run!” I said running and waving back to Ikkaku.
Chapter II: The New Shinigami On The Block
“You like him don’t you?” Rin asked me giggling. Rin Kagami was my best friend; she was the same age as me and a bit shorter, me being 5”10 and she being 5”8. She had short blue pixie cut hair; we were talking on my bed in my room at home. My mom was out. and Dante had gotten detention so he was still at school. I began giggling in response to her question; “Nah, even so, Mezashi wouldn’t have time for a girl like me” I blushed. “I sense love in that answer” Rin teased as I playfully pushed her. Hm? I said to myself as I looked through the window, I feel something bad over there… And I can feel the ground shaking, I thought to myself. Rin seemed to notice me spacing out, she turned to look out the window in the same direction I was starting at, “Is something wrong?” she asked, but I didn’t hear, I was too focused. She shook me and asked again, “Are you okay?”
“Oh, yeah, I’m fine” I responded, “You were spacing out quite a bit” she said, “Oh sorry, I just remembered that I have to go pick up something for my mom, be right back!” I exclaimed as I ran out the room and rushed outside towards the location from where I had gotten the bad feeling. I peeked around the corner and noticed that Ikkaku was fighting another creature, except he was slaying them faster. Did he improve? Or were those creatures just weak? I thought. When he was finished, he placed his sword in its case in a calm way and spoke, “I know you’re there, you can come out… Nayoka” he said turning around. I was surprised he knew my name, “How did you know my name?” I asked surprisingly “I have my ways” he said calmly. “I would like you to come with me” he said calmly looking at me, “Go with you? Where?” I said concerned, “To my home world, Soul Society, the council would like to have a word with you” he said. “S-Sure…” I stuttered. He grabbed his sword and flipped it the other side so the end would be touching the air, it started to glow and it seemed as though he was rubbing the sword along a wall striking the air with the sword and then dragging it down to the ground; the area that was touched by the sword was glowing white. He then grabbed the area that was glowing and extended his arms, which in turn, extended the area itself which seemed to be a portal. I gasped at the sight of this. Who is he? No… WHAT is he? Am I dreaming? I thought. “Come” he said calmly extending his hand out to me, I may have hesitated, but I grabbed it and he led me through the portal.
I appeared in the center of a massive round room with a large amount of people wearing a black kimono with a white clock around a round desk. The walls had windows that weren’t really windows when you actually realized it, they were just big, square cut-outs in the walls and between each ‘window’ was a long red curtain. My attention was brought to a man who was sitting in a high desk and chair in front of everybody else who rose to speak, “I, Patrai Demine, captain of the Council of 46 verify that the meeting to address the human, Nayoka Kiminoko has now begun” he said pounding a gavel. Just then, Ikkaku left from my side and left the room and I was a bit startled. “Nayoka Kiminoko” the captain said, him calling my name had startled me “Yes?” I responded timidly. “Do you know why we have summoned you?”
“No sir” I said timidly again.
“Can you recall the time you saved Ikkaku Jacobi from a hollow?”
“Hollow?”
“A hollow is a black creature with a white mask, for your purpose I dimmed down the definition” he said with a snicker.
“I do, but what does that have to do with me being here?” I asked.
“Well ma’am, to lift the Soul Slayer of a 4th seat is quite impressive, being a human as you are. I notice that you have an… ‘Intriguing’ amount of Reiatsu, although it’s not fully unleashed, maybe because you don’t know how, or you don’t have a motive, maybe both” he said. “Do you get the conclusion I’m getting at?” he asked.
“No sir.” I said formally.
“We’ve deliberated it already, and you’d make an interesting Shinigami, so we’ve decided. You shall be a Shinigami” he said pounding his gavel. The same moment he pounded his gavel, I felt a sharp pain in my left chest, I struggled to look down to see what it was, it was a sword. No… It was a Soul Slayer. Ugh… I Can’t... Move... I’m… Going- Just at that moment, I fell to the ground unconscious.
Chapter III: The Over-Aged Captain!?
I shot up from a bed quite frightened. I then sighed in relief that I was okay. I then noticed my clothes; I was wearing the same clothes that were worn by the Shinigamis. The same black kimono with a white ‘belt’ and sandals with socks. “I see you’re awake” I heard a voice say. I turned my head in surprise, “Hikari Kuchiki, Captain of the 6th Squad, which is the squad you’ll be placed in” she was short, about the height and looks of a 12 year old. She was very white in colour, with bright yellow eyes and a purple diamond in the middle of her forehead, she had short white hair that extended just above her shoulder. “If you’re the Captain… Where is your haori? As a matter of fact where’s your kimono too?” I asked. “I don’t like them. I was permitted to wear these instead” she was wearing usual traditional Japanese clothing with small white flowers along the edges. “I take discomfort in them. And please, before you say anything, do not see me as a child for even as how I look, I’m actually 234 years old” Captain Hikari said calmly and I was extremely surprised by this. “2..2…230!? But you look like your just 12!” I exclaimed, and she sighed. “In Seireitei, the appearance of a Shinigami is 10 years per Human years. Since I’m 234, I would have the appearance of a 23 year old.” She explained, “Yeah but, you look like you’re 12!” I exclaimed again. “My sister and I are both captains in Seireitei, she has an even younger appearance than I do but we have inherited a sort of Sealing Technique to make ourselves appear younger which also would lower our Reiatsu because…” she voiced off with a sad look, “Because?” I asked.
“You see… There are 13 squads in Seireitei, 1 through 13. Their duty is to protect Soul Society. However, there is a Squad 0, which consists of 5 members and 5 members only, 1 member is about the strength of about 4 or 5 captains. Their job is to protect the Soul King. The Soul King currently has only 3 members of Squad 0 and is looking for 2 more. My sister and I have the highest Reiatsu in Seireitei inclusive of the Captain-Commander himself, but we don’t want to join Squad 0 as we like it here in Seireitei.. That’s why we nullify our Reiatsu and try to stay away from fights” she explained. “Oh…” I said with sadness, realizing her sad story, “But I want you to work hard at being a Shinigami” she cheered up, smiling “My sister and I do not have any Lieutenants, I don’t know about her but I plan on keeping mine empty just for you” she said happy once more. “I would like to introduce you to the other captains soon but not now, you’ve had quite a day, you should go home and rest.” She said tossing me a Zanpakuto, “Is this?...” I asked “Mhm. It’s yours, take good care of it”
Later that day, Ikkaku came by and was teaching me how to slay Hollows and all about a Zanpakuto. I placed all my heart and soul into being a Shinigami because somehow… I could just sense that danger was coming soon.
Chapter IV: Rebellion of the Zanpakuto Spirits
“Have you noticed it… Reza?” the Captain-Commander asked his lieutenant “Yes, sir. The reports were true, it seems that Never-Before Owned Zanpakuto Spirits are rebel’ing against Shinigami” Reza responded. “I see…” the Captain-Commander responded, “Hopefully I won’t have to lift a finger during this rebellion, their most likely doing it out of rage anyways” he responded. “Send Captain Hikari and her squad to the Real World to investigate please” and then he sighed. “I’m tired… Think I’m gonna take a nap” he said, “Sir” Reza said, “Hm?” “Which Captain Hikari would you like me to send?” he asked. “Which Captain Hikari… Wait! We have 2 of them!?” he exclaimed starting to laugh a bit “Squad 2 Captain if you please” “Yes sir!” Reza responded, “And… Reza” he called to him, “Hm?” “Would you please notify the Shinigami… Nayoka of this and… Bring me her brother if you please” he told him. “Yes sir!” Reza said walking off, leaving the Captain-Commander sighing of tired-ness.
I heard a scream. Not just any scream. It was Rin’s. I jumped out the window as I transformed into my Shinigami state. I’m coming Rin, hang on I thought to myself. When I arrived at the horrific scene, I saw Rin struggling inside the mouth of a Hollow, half of her was inside already. “Don’t come any closer… Or the girl will experience excruciating pain” the Hollow looked at me with devious eyes as it snickered. I didn’t listen, instead, I ran ahead towards the Hollow and it swung its hand from the right as I ducked and went below it I jumped up and slashed the top of its head before it grabbed me and threw me. “Well then… Have it your way!” the Hollow said laughing. Its teeth began to glow red and it sizzled Rin’s body “AAH!!” she screamed “Nayoka…. HELP! It’s hot!” she screamed for me. I gripped my Zanpakuto even tighter and charge full on ahead, it used its left hand to throw a punch at me but it failed, I shoved my sword deep into the arm. It screamed in pain and dropped Rin and vanished. “Rin! Rin! Are you okay!?” I screamed as I ran to her. But she was unconscious; I took her home and had Ikkaku take care of her. He brought some members from Squad 4 who told me she’ll be alright, which made me glad.
“Nayoka Kiminoko” I heard a stern feminine voice behind me say. I turned around surprised, it was a Captain. “I am Hikari Takanashi, Captain of the 2nd Squad and Captain of the Covert Ops. We were sent here by the Captain-Commander to tell you information on a potencial rebellion of Zanpakuto Spirits” Hikari explained. “Zanpakuto Spirits?” I asked, “Yes. As you know, every Zanpakuto has a name and a form, but that’s not it. The entities of a Zanpakuto come from the Spirit World, where Zanpakuto Spirits live and when a new Shinigami erupts, a Spirit is chosen. These Rebellious Spirits are saying that they are tired of serving under Shinigamis, so I want you to keep an eye out for any mischievous happenings” she explained again. “Right. I will, thank you for notifying me” I responded “Your welcome.” She said disappearing.
Chapter V: Shinsuke Takasuki: The Fearful Captain-Commander!
I visited Rin at home, she was in her bed still sweating. “Do you feel better?” I asked her, “Yeah but… I do feel kinda hot” she responded. “Take it easy okay?” I said smiling. “I’ll be back later” I called to her walking out the room, “Thanks for coming…Nayoka” she said “Don’t mention it” I said with a smile. Suddenly, walking outside the area felt hot. “Whew..” I said fanning myself with my own hand. I turned and turned to see if anyone was outside to see if it wasn’t just me. All I could see was a tall teenage boy with fiery spiky red hair. He wore a white marina and an orange jacket that wasn’t buttoned and neat orange pants with orange sneakers. “Hey you” I called to him, “What is it… Shinigami?” he asked me with darkness in his eyes. I stepped back and was shocked! I wasn’t even in my Shinigami uniform “Why so surprised? Can’t tell why I know that?” he replied. “I’m a Zanpakuto Spirit” he said again, this shocked me even more as I recalled the time when the 2nd Squad Captain told me of them rebel’ing. My eyes went in a serious mood “Don’t even bother trying to fight me… It will be useless, also I’m not with those hooligans. I may have stepped out of the Spirit World but that’s just because it was boring there, if not I will even help you defeat them.” He said confidently “What’s your name, Shinigami?” he asked “N-Nayoka Kiminoko” I stuttered. “I am Kazan… A fire Zanpakuto Spirit. I’ll see you soon then, Nayoka” Kazan said disappearing.
I was feeling in good spirits now that I had a Zanpakuto Spirit on my side. I went home and saw my mom cooking, “Ah, where’ve you been all day Nayoka?” she said happily “At Rin’s” I replied, “Oh, is she feeling better?” she asked “Yeah but she says she still feels kinda hot” I replied. “Poor dear” my mom said. “What’re you making?” I asked, “Fish Soup, oh and hey have you seen Dante all day?” she asked “No, why?” “I haven’t seen him since yesterday… But knowing him he’ll just come back sometime soon” my mom said cheerily and began humming a song. I went upstairs and saw Ikkaku waiting for me on my bed. “Ikkaku!?” I exclaimed, “What’re doing here?” I asked and he sighed “The Captain-Commander has called for a meeting” he said “But what does that have to do with us? Isn’t it the Captains alone?” I asked “No… This is a different meeting, the 1st of it’s kind. It’s a Universal Meeting, meaning every Shinigami in the entire world is to be there” he said. “That’s possible?.. So many Shinigami’s gathered in one area?” I asked. “I don’t know, but let’s go.” He pushed his sword into a blue gleam of light and twisted it, and a blue portal opened just for us. Not before long, we were in Seireitei, there were way too many people gathered at the 1st Squad Headquaters. It looked to be over 1000 people, “Ugh… I wanted to be in the front too” I complained. “Nayoka” I heard a soft similar voice say as I turned around, it was my Captain, Hikari. “Captain Hikari..” I said, “Come with me, we’re going closer to the front, grab my hand” she said smiling and I did just that. The diamond on her forehead was glowing a dim colour and she went soaring through the air, “You can fly!?” I exclaimed, “Yeah, I like doing it too” she said. She dropped me in the front of the entire crowd as she rose higher to join the other Captains on the balcony of the 1st Squad Headquaters.
“Mornin’, Mornin’” the Captain-Commander spoke. This was my first time seeing him, he was about 6 feet tall with Black hair with 3 dreads coming down from the back of his head from underneath the rest of his hair, who looked to be in his early 40s. “Is that the Captain-Commander?” I asked Ikkaku. “Yeah. Shinsuke Takasugi, he’s a truly fearful man” he said smiling. “Fearful? He doesn’t look mean as a matter of fact, he looks nice” I responded “Yeah. But that’s not what I meant. I was referring to his Zanpakuto, Shadoumonāku” he said calmly. “What’s so fearful about it?” I asked, “What’s not fearful about it. It’s a Shadow Zanpakuto so from right then it’s fearful. He can control your Shadows and even step in them and attack you from the inside. His Bankai’s even worse… He will summon his Zanpakuto Spirit itself to surround him and trust me, there has been a record of 0 known people to have survived.” He said, I could do nothing but gulp. Is he that fearful? I thought to myself staring at him.
“As you all know” the Captain-Commander spoke, “Zanpakuto Spirits are having a rebellion. Hopefully, Captain Hikari of the 6th Squad, Captain Sukai of the 7th Squad and myself won’t have to lift a finger. I would cause too much damage, and the other 2 Captains, well, we don’t want to see them leaving into Squad 0. The lieutenants and seats from 3-6 from Squads 1, 2 and 3 are in charge of keeping watch over Soul Society. The lieutenants and seats 3 & 4 of Squads 9 & 13 are in charge of keeping watch over the Real World.” The Captain-Commander commanded. “Because Soul Society… Are now at war” he said with a stern face. “Ha-ha! Bye bye now!” the Captain-Commander said with a big smile. “He’s such a loose cannon… I’d expect him to be more stern” I told Ikkaku “Yeah but I like people like that, I don’t really like stern” he said disappearing.
Chapter VI: Encouter with the Zanpakuto Spirit, Ruto!
“Ggrh..” I grunted in my sleep. The night was cold and I couldn’t sleep, I got up and look through the window. “It’s so calm… I can’t believe we’re going to fight. I can’t believe I’M going to fight…” I thought to myself. Just then, several shadows began moving from house-tops to house-top, I couldn’t make them out because they were far. “Perhaps that’s them now” I said as I opened my room window and jumped out to the ground. I transformed into a Shinigami and chased after the figured. When I was in close-enough distance to see them, they were all colorful; each wearing clothing of various colours. “Stop!” I shouted to get their attention, “Who are you people?” I demanded but they all just snickered back at me. The person at the front command one of the guys to back and confront me, “I don’t have time for you!” I said jumped and chasing after the others. He grabbed me from behind and threw me on the ground below him.
Seeing him close up, he was a slender teenage boy, with short, green, spiky hair who whore a green open jacket with a white marina on the inside. He also wore neat green pants with green sneakers. I got up and stepped a few spaces back, “What’s with all the green?” I asked. “What’s your name? Shinigami?” he asked. “Nayoka Kiminoko, state me yours” I demanded “Since it’s only polite to tell your name to the victim you’re about to kill… “ He said with devious eyes “Ruto… The Zanpakuto Spirit” he said and just then he disappeared. My eyes swerved all around searching for him “What’s wrong? Can’t keep up?” he said behind me and I swung my sword but he disappeared again. “You’re slow” he said once again behind me. I swung my sword but he disappeared again, I aimed my sword in front and waited 3 seconds and jammed it. Ruto was there. He gasped, “Ho- How did you know I was going to appear here?” he asked, “Did you really think I’m that stupid and slow not to follow your movements?... You must’ve really underestimated me, now… What was that about killing me you said?” I boasted as I jammed my sword into his chest. His eyes were clinched shut, and he slowly opened them surprised. I was surprised too, my sword wouldn’t budge, I thought he had some sort of force field but judging that his reaction was the same as mine, it wasn’t. He later took advantage of the situation, “Hmph. It seems your sword won’t cut me!” he said laughing. He pushed my sword away and extended his arm out which gripped against my neck which later slammed me down on the ground. “Ugh” I groaned in pain. “These stupid shinigamis are dreadful… Me and my darling girlfriend was just about to be married, when some jackass Shinigami was created and took her away from me! You stupid Shinigamis are all going to die by my blade!!” he exclaimed with nothing but rage and hate in his eyes. “Extend your roots” he said as he pulled a blade from his palm. He then charged at me throwing quick and powerful slashes that were even overpowering me. I grunted with every strike, “Can’t handle it eh!? Then let me put you out your misery!” he said smiling, his attacks got even faster. I couldn’t hold back anymore, finally one of his slashes threw me against the ground “Good riddance Shinigami!” A figure stood in the way and later held onto Ruto’s sword. “What are you doing, Kazan!?” he exclaimed as I gasped. Kazan?... What is he doing here? I thought to myself, “Ruto you idiot” Kazan said. “You’ve been consumed by so much hate that you haven’t even been able to recognize the sword you’re fighting” he said calmly. Ruto kept staring at me calmly after that, no, he was staring at the sword. He gasped “N-… It can’t be… You’re here!?” he exclaimed, I could do nothing but to look at my sword and wonder.
Chapter VII: Reza & Maunten - The 1 Minute Brawl
“Through all your anger and rage… You couldn’t even tell that it was me, Ruto” a voice came from my Zanpakuto. It started to glow a light blue colour which started to flow out the tip, it then swirled around in the air and took the shape of a female. She was brown-skinned, with long straight hair blue hair that went down to her mid-back, she wore white vinvyl boots with blue highlights at the back. She was wearing a bikini-like white blouse which curved around her breasts with a white jacket over it which wore blue highlights. Attached to the blouse was a long thin white pants. "Mizumi..." Ruto said with tears in his eyes, he ran to hug her and Mizumi accepted the hug. "I'm sorry I've done all this, it just didn't seem fair for you to be taken away during our big moment" Ruto cried, "Don't worry Ruto" Mizumi said back with a smile "If you need me, just find her" she said pointing to me as she then broke away from the hug.
“Are you?..” I asked, “Yes, I am your Zanpakuto, Mizumi.” She said. She then turned to me “Be wise to remember my name” she said with a smile “Because I won’t tell you again” she then turned back to Ruto & Kazan “Good to see you again, brother” she said to Kazan “You’re siblings!?...” I exclaimed, “Are you deaf? She just called me brother” Kazan said harshly. “Enough dilly-dallying, we need to stop the other Spirits, Ruto & I will head for the ones that went East, Kazan, go West, Nayoka go North And please… If you need help, just call” Mizumi said winking at me. I think I knew what she meant but I quickly pulled myself off the ground. I quickly sped forward but not a moment after, there was a crash and dust rising from an area, I quickly turned and headed over there. “You should get out of here” I heard a voice say, but I waited for the dust to clear first. The first thing I noticed was a Vice-Captains badge on his left arm, “You’re a Vice-Captain?” I said to him, he slowly moved his head over in my direction, it was Reza Kuchiki the lieutenant for the 1st Division. “Reza? Aren’t you supposed to be in Seireitei?” I asked “I was sent here to check up on things and I found me an Earth Zanpakuto Spirit” he said and he turned back to the man standing distantly from him. He was big with a dark-brown Mohawk and a grey marina with light-grey pants and brown shoes and was also very muscular. “Nayoka, please to watch me fight and learn what you can and please step back” Reza commanded with a light voice while the Zanpakuto Spirit smirked.
“Stage 1, Sandankai” Reza said, his Zanpakuto became a white & black Zanpakuto. It took the shape of half a shuriken attached to each other. “Stage 1?” the Zanpakuto asked, “Out of how many?” he asked again. “My Zanpakuto is efficient for various types of battles, it has 3 stages, this is the first. Please don’t get the idea that my Reiatsu increases with each stage, because it does not. The only thing that changes is my fighting style. Stage one is for close combat, Stage 2 is for long-range combat and Stage 3… Is for Brute Force.” Reza said, “Shake the earth, Maunten” the Zanpakuto Spirit said, and his fists became covered by rock. “Extend” Reza said, his Sandankai was propelled towards Maunten, the half-shurikens came apart, revealing a rope in between each, Maunten tried to knock the sword but the path curved and wrapped around his hands tightening them together. “Hm!? Is this all you’ve got? You don’t even have anything to hit me with” Maunten said. “That’s what you think…” Reza said. “Way of Destruction: Byakurai” Reza said as he extended a finger towards Maunten. A thin white energy blast propelled from his finger and later went through Maunten. “You…. You…. Bastard…. I shall remember you…. Reza…. Kuchiki” Maunted said as he exploded into small white Spirit Particles which floated in the air. “What happened to him?” I asked Reza, “When unclaimed Zanpakuto Spirits are defeated, they go back to the Spirit World.” He told me. “What are you going to do next?” I asked Reza, “I’m going back to Soul Society, you finish up here” he said opening a portal and walking through it. “Hmm…” I thought to myself, “Dante… Where are you?” I said sadly while crying.
Chapter VIII: The Captain-Commander's Release! Shadoumonaku!
“My my, these Zanpakuto Spirits aren’t doing a very good job” the Captain-Commander sighed while looking out his window. “Sir, you shouldn’t say such things!” Reza exclaimed, “I know, I know. But I expected them to do a better job than this… 4 of them eliminated in just a short time of 6 minutes” he sighed once more. “But I can already tell an approaching danger will reach us soon. Reza, how many Spirits are left?” he asked “Sir, 4 more, including the head, Nayoka Kiminoko of the 10th Squad was involved in the death of 3, sir” he explained. “I see…” the Captain-Commander then said. “Yo! The big CC! The head man, you see. I heard you got a question for me, make it interesting or I’ll go-to sleep~” a man appeared rapping. He was a tall black, muscular man. He wore sunglasses and had a black Mohawk (Similar to Mr. T) with gold bars over his knuckles. At the back of his Captain haori, there was a symbol that said ‘7’. “Hahaaa” the Captain Commander walked towards the man “Always happy to see Shin Mizushima” the Captain-Commander said. “How’s Dante?” the Captain-Commander asked, “He escaped, but he wouldn’t know how to exit Soul Society… So I suspect a third party” he said calmly folding his arms, “I see...” the Captain-Commander said. The explosion in the distance disrupted the two, “Trouble? They reached here already?” the Captain-Commander queried. There was a burst of air which was speeding towards the 1st Division. Finally, the enemies were in the room, already behind the Captain-Commander and Shin. “Ohoho. Greetings Zanpakuto Spirits, what brings you to my palace, care to join me for dinner?” he asked politely with a smile, “Nonono, dey came to listen to me rappin’, while dey fingers be snappin’~” Shin rapped, the leader was dressed in all black and pointed a sword towards the Captain-Commander “You… Are you the Captain-Commander?” he said threatingly. “If I say yes will you lower the sword?” the Captain-Commander said laughing. “You think you’re-” the leader said but was broken off by the Captain-Commander “Fade into the Night, Shadoumonaku.”
The Captain-Commander was surrounded by black Reishi which later enclosed him, “Hmph” he said in the vortex which he later absorbed into his sword. His simple katana was now a short bright white and black sword which was curved around the handle. Above the handle, there was another extension of the blade. “I’m sorry Zanpakuto Spirits, but you won’t last much longer” the Captain Commander said, all the Zanpakuto Spirits just stood in fright, unable to move. He pointed his sword at them, “Shadodansu” and the sword grew bright. After awhile, the Zanpakuto Spirits thought it was a cheap trick, but their Shadows literally stood up and started to assault them, the Captain-Commander and Shin turned their backs to them and sighed “It always pains me to see such naïve people die. But… They technically don’t die anyways” he said to Shin, “Hey, Shin” the Captain-Commander said, “Hm?” he responded “Let’s go grab some Sake, whataya say?” he said. “Of course!” Shin exclaimed and they both walked through the door, leaving the Zanpakuto Spirits being attacked.

Chapter IX: Meeting with the Spirit of Life
“Nayoka Kiminoko….” I heard a soft voice say in my dream. “Who’re you?” I spoke to a tall figure who was constantly changing her appearance. “I am the Spirit of Life” it said “The Spirit of Life? What’s that?” I asked, “Just as it sounds” it responded. “Why’re you here? In my dream?” I asked. “I wish to thank you for bringing back the Zanpakuto Spirits, as a reward, I shall grant you a choice of 2 wishes. 1. Me to bring life to any person you know, or even take it. 2. Bring an unexpectant from the dead” it said. “Bring an Unpextectant from the dead?..” I thought to myself. “Bring back my father please!!” I cried out with tears flowing from my eyes. “Masahiro Kiminoko! Please…” I still said crying. “Oh dear..” it said, “What’s wrong?” I asked. “My duty is to purify, the Spirit of Death on the other hand.. He corrupts, and I cannot take what has been Corrupted and your father, was Corrupted” it said “Corrupted?... How?” I asked, “Your father was killed by a Hollow and a Hollow is a corruption, so it has infected your father with it. But I can ask the Spirit of Death to make an exception. Farewell” it said drifting off.
I got up from my bed, it was already 10 AM, I was going to Rin’s house to check up on her along with Mezashi. “We’re almost there” I told him. “Look at that cat just sitting there” he pointed out to me, “hm?” I turned my attention to it and stooped down. It was a little black cat with big yellow eyes “How could I resist not adopting it?” I thought to myself as I lured it to me. When I rubbed its head the cat shaked it off and bit me and later ran off. Mezashi started laughing “It’s not funny!” I exclaimed, “Now let’s just go to Rin’s” I told him “Why’s that girl over there staring at us? You know her?” he asked me but I shook my head in response. It might’ve been something else but I saw her eyes twinkle and just then angry roars were heard behind Mezashi and I. “Mezashi, move!” I said pushing him out of the way. “Ugh! What was that for!? You just randomly pushed me” he exclaimed, “Wait you can’t see-“ I broke off before the Hollow slammed its hammer-shaped hand down at us but I quickly rolled out with Mezashi “Stop doing that will ya! It’ll make us look weird” he said. “Stay here” I commanded as I left him against the wall of a house as I transformed into a Shinigami “Huh? Where’d you go?... Am I dreaming?” he asked.
I was defeating the hollows quite easily I thought as 4 minutes passed, too easily, they were barely attacking. “What’s their goal?...” I thought to myself “Wait! I said to myself as I recalled being told ‘Hollows feast on Pluses and sometimes even Humans’” I turned around to help Mezashi. “Help me!” he screamed to me. He was captured by 2 hollows and I ran as fast I can, he was extending his arm for me and I jumped for it. It was too late. They took him as tears welled up in my eye “MEZASHI!!” I screamed to myself as I started to cry. “Dante… Rin… Mezashi… I’m sorry I wasn’t strong enough to protect you, but I will find out who did this to you each and I will kill them.”

“I got it… Master” a female said to a man spun around in a chair. “Good work. Hand it to me” he said, the female figure then handed the man a metal pill which contained Reishi. “Hmph” the man started laughing “It is now time for us to began our Invasion… Tell the others” he said to the female. “We Spellcasters… Should not be underestimated” which he then finished with a maniacal laugh.
Chapter X: Meeting with the Vaizards
There was an abundance of Hollows in the park. Over 2 dozen and I could barely manage to even protect myself, so how am I going to protect others? “Aah!” I charged towards a Hollow slashing its head and later jumping from it to slash another hollow straight down the middle. I was interrupted by a roar, and turned around to see a giant fist coming at me but I didn’t have enough time to react. “Huh?” a figure came and slashed the hand and later killed all the Hollows in a matter of seconds. “Who’re you?” I asked the figure. He was about my height, thin, white, with short black hair with a dark blue T-shirt and white pants with a pink scarf wrapped around his neck and flowing behind him. He turned around with his sword across his shoulder and smiled at me “Mitsuaki Saisei, and yours?” he asked “Nayoka Kiminoko” I responded. “You should really watch your back, especially when there was that much Hollows, what were you doing fighting them alone anyway?” Mitsuaki asked “I was trying to get stronger… Because too many of my friends are getting hurt and I thought the more Hollows there are the more I’ll get better” I responded. “Do you even know how to do Hado and Bakudo?” he asked “No, what are those?” I asked, “They’re spells that Shinigamis use”he explained, “How you know that? And why can you slay Hollows with a sword? You’re not a Shinigami” I told him. “I used to be” he responded, “When?” I asked.
“I used to be the 1st Squad Lieutenant, serving under Shinsuke Takasugi. But 10 years ago I was killed by a Vasto Lordes and I wandered around waiting for a Shinigami to find me to send me to Soul Society, but my Chain of Fate ran out and I was turning into a Hollow. Halfway into the transformation, several Shinigamis finally found me and restricted me and I returned to normal. I even got back my powers, but I just felt it was safer to find more people like my kind than stay in Soul Society” he explained “Like your kind?” I asked, “Indeed, Vaizards. Also, did the Captain-Commander get a new Lieutenant?” he asked and I nodded my head in response “Reza Kuchiki.” “I see… Well then follow me” he said turning around “Where are we going?” I asked, “I’m going to show you the rest of my teammates” he said walking towards the forest and I followed behind him. “Here we are” he said pointing to a large wooden building bearing a resemblance to a barn. He walked forward and placed his hand on solid air “What’s he doing?” I thought, a yellow force-field was revealed and the area around his hand disintegrated. “Come on” he turned back at me smiling and then walked ahead. As soon as I went inside of the force-field it re-constructed itself. We went inside the barn, it was filled with hay and boxes “Is this a disguise?” I asked “Yeah” he responded “Let me show you the real thing.” He said as he led me into a room, there were some faces there that were ready to greet me. “This is Nayoka Kiminoko everybody” he said “What took you so long handsome?” A guy came and wrapped his arm around Percy’s shoulder “ I was worried” he said with a soft voice. Percy seemed to get ticked off and said to the man “I’m not your man!” and took the man’s hand off him and walked over to me, everyone else seemed to laugh. Even I couldn’t help it. “Nayoka, this is Aimi Yoshida, Kiyoko Himura, Daisuke Kimura and… Ugh… Hinata Kurosawa” he said. “I would be Hinata!” the same guy who had annoyed Mitsuaki stepped forward. He was tall and had long blonde hair and wore clothing similar to that of a Marching Band. “You have a pretty name” I smiled and told him happily, “See, she thinks my name is pretty! Now I need you to say I’m pretty…” he said flirtly to Mitsuaki, “I don’t think you or your name is pretty! As a matter of fact its both fit for girls” Mitsuaki responded. As they argued, Aimi stepped forward, “Ignore those two, are you a Vaizard as well?” she asked. She had short black hair that was plaited and she was wearing a turtle neck red leather blouse with black flames diagonally going up to the neck with red pants and black shoes. “What happened?” she asked “When?” I responded
“Something must’ve drived you to to train against those Hollows. What was it?” I then thought of the Mezashi incident and explained it to her. “It must’ve been the work of Spellcasters” she told me “Did you just say Spellcasters?” Mitsuaki came up. “Yeah” Aimi answered him. “Looks like they’re re-surfing” Kiyoko came up saying. She was a dark-skinned girl with short-shoulder length black hair and wearing leather jacket, pants and boots with a black blouse. “I’m actually familiar with the one you mentioned… Her name is Jynx” Kiyoko said calmly “What’s her power?” Hinata asked “Just as her name sounds” Daisuke said from a corner. He was leaning against the corner with his arms folded and his head down, he too was dark skinned with regular read T-shirt and blue jeans human clothes and low-cut white hair. “Daisuke’s right. Jynx uses the Spellcaster power of ‘Jynx’, she can cause the worst-case scenarios to happen and can cause objects around her to be faulty. She’s a troublesome one” Kiyoko explained. “Do you know anymore? Because I doubt only one Spellcaster will be attacking” I asked “Unfortunately, I don’t. But let me explain the entire ‘Spellcasters’ to you. Spellcasters are humans with high Reiatsu who have acquired their power through being eaten by a Hollow and survive and sometimes will have acquire their power. In most cases, a Spellcaster has to say their particular style of Spell followed by a name but I’ve seen a few who don’t say names, they just activate. For example, I’ve been in a battle with Jynx, I was fighting her with my sword and was charging at her when she said Jynx #8: Disintegrate without even moving, only a purple flash in her eye and when I came within a certain distance of her, my Sword started to melt” Kiyoko explained. “I see…” Aimi thought. “Whatever happens, don’t attack her alone, and when any of you encounter a Spellcaster no matter how many of you or Spellcasters there are try to last long enough in the fight to get a sense of their abilities” Mitsuaki commanded. “I’ll take you home Nayoka, it’s not safe walking by yourself” he told me “Thanks” I smiled at him.

“Jynx…” the leader called, “Yes sir?” she responded. “It seems they know too much about you..” he said “But not enough, my master” Jynx smiled evilly “Hmph. Indeed, activate Phase 1 please, you know who to bring, right?” he asked. “I know. I’m supposed to bring Sora, right?” she asked. “Yes, now go” he smiled evilly, “That’s your target…” he said pointing at a screen.
Chapter XI: Pilot! The Way of the Sword User
“Here we are, this is your house isn’t it?” Mitsuaki asked “Yeah thanks” I said smiling “Bye” I waved to him as I opened my house gate and walked in. “Mom! I’m home!” I turned on the lights but the place was in a mess. “Mom?...” I asked around worriedly “Something wrong?”Mitsuaki came inside asking, “My mom… She’s gone” and as soon as I said that I heard a giggle. A small purple and black portal opened in the ceiling and a girl came out. She had long, bushy white hair with purple streaming in the middle. She wore black overalls with purple skid marks over from the hip to her right shoulder along with black boots. “You want to see your precious mom again? You’ll have to find her-“ Jynx said before being interrupted by a blast from Mistuaki. As the smoke cleared a man was in front of Jynx with 4 rods of light around his palm. He had neat kept chin-length white flowy white hair and wore a jacket of a Marching Band except Blue without the fork at the back and blue pants and shoes. As he let his hand fall, the rods disappeared. “I don’t believe we’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting before” Mitsuaki asked the man. “That’s right. Forgive my rudeness. My name is S ora” he said politely bowing to us. “What’s with your clothes?” I asked, “I wear these clothes…. Because I’m fabulous~” he said flipping his hair and rubbing it. “Out of the way!” Jynx pushed him aside “Listen! We’ll give you back your mom IF and only IF you do a task for our boss” Jynx commanded and threw a card at me. “And maybe… Just maybe… We’ll give you back your brother too” she laughed evily. “Let’s go Twinkle” she said flaunting her hair at me and opening a portal.
“So that’s what happened to Dante..” I said to myself anrgilly, “No worries Nayoka, the Vaizards are on your side” Mitsuaki reassured me. “Oh really?” a voice on the stairs asked. “Who ar-“ I began “Pilot, the Spellcaster. Nice to meet you, Nayoka and Mitsuaki” he said as he began walking down the stairs. “Follow me” he said walking out the door. I hesitated at first but Mitsuaki reassured me it would be safe; he led us into a wide plain area surrounded by trees “Why did you lead us here?” I aksed “Because we’ll be fighting.” He has shoulder-length flowy black hair and was wearing a tuxedo. Mitsuaki and I both took out our swords and aimed it at him “Why don’t you go into Shikai state?” he asked “We don’t need Shikai to defeat you” Mitsuaki scolded him. Pilot merely sighed “You will however, regret that.” “Don’t worry” Mitsuaki smiled at him “May I ask though, if your name is Pilot would your ability be to fly or to control things?” he asked. “Whatever gave you that idea? Spellcasters’ abilities aren’t based on their names. Jynx was just a coincidence” he laughed at us. “Mine however…. Way of the Sword #1:Armor of the King!” he said. And out from the middle of his chest were silver goo, that wrapped around his entire body except for his head, this goo then formed a Knight’s armor. “Way of the Sword #2: Sword of the Gods” he said and the same silver goo came from his hand and reached in the air and later formed a longsword.
Chapter XII: Pilot VS The 2 Shikai!
“Hmph” Pilot scoffed “I won’t even need the Sword to handle you two” and the sword vanished into Spirit Particles. He dashed so far towards us, I didn’t even see him coming he extended his foot at my abdomen and I went flying, rolling and rolling until I managed to get back my balance. I held my abdomen in pain “That armor… Is so stong” I informed Mitsuaki “It is.” Pilot seemed to overhear my sentence “My armor boosts my speed and my strength, so do it, show me your Shikai” Pilot tried to persuade us. “I’d hate to do this but..” Mitsuaki said “I guess we have no choice Nayoka. His power right now can easily overthrow us both. Come out with the flash of lightning and the sound of thunder, Hikaru!” Mitsuaki’s katana transformed into a more traditional Japanese Style katana with electricity covering all parts of the blade, “There we go!” Pilot applauded licking his lips. Way of the Sword #2: Sword of the Gods” and his sword reformed. I watched from a distance as Mistuaki and Pilot clashed, making breeze fly, leaves fall and a low disruption in the ground. “What should I do?..” I questioned myself sadly “No… What CAN I do? I know the name of my sword but… I won’t know how to use it” and I bowed my head in sorrow. But then I heard a voice, I couldn’t make it out clearly but I knew it was Mizumi trying to motivate and reassure me. I took my sword and jumped from behind Pilot, “Flood, Mizumi!!!” I shouted as I slashed at him. Mitsuaki and I backed away and stood together, the slash I gave him merely scratched part of his armor off because he hopped away from part of the slash. I looked at my new sword, it was my first time seeing it; it was a very long light-blue sword with a thin sea-blue coloured line running from the base to the tip in the middle of the sword. The bottom edges of the sword were like the teeth of a Shark. “You cut through my armor? Impressive… Now let’s kick things up a notch” Pilot said. “Way of the Sword #6: Spirit of a Hero!” a white aura flowed around Pilot and then wrapped around his armor in an ‘X’ formation. “Way of the Sword #4: Soul Power” the same aura came back but was instead around his sword. “Hahaha!” Pilot laughed maniacally as his sword outweighed Mitsuaki and I. I jumped upwards and as I suspected his attention drifted to me instead, he grabbed my foot but before he could strike Mitsuaki’s sword pierced his side. “Ugh!” he threw me in rage and slapped Mitsuaki away, he only suffered a minor injury to due the vitality of his armor.
“You two even in your Shikai isn’t anything against me” he laughed. “Way of the Sword #3: Shackles of a Prisoner” several shackles flew out from the palm of his hand and grounded my limbs “I’ll erase Mitsuaki first, and then its your turn Nayoka” he said calmly walking towards Mitsuaki. “No you don’t!” Mitsuaki struck him, but Pilot held the sword with his hand, the lightning around the sword grew bigger and more tense it did seem to hurt Pilot but he gripped the sword and threw it and later was stomping on Mitsuaki. “Mitsuaki!” I screamed trying to wiggle myself out of the shackles “Come on!!” I screamed to myself “Leave him alone!!” I screamed to Pilot but he didn’t even notice me. He put his left foot on Mitsuaki’s abdomen with Pilot standing holding his glowing sword above his head, “Goodbye. Vaizard” but just as the sword was going to impact, a flute was playing in the distance. “Hm!?” Pilot turned to the sound angrily. It was Hinata playing the black and white flute. He stopped for a moment and glared at Pilot “You don’t expect me to sit by while my dear Mitsuaki is in trouble do you?” he said calmly. “Hmph. Do you wish to join him?” Pilot smiled evilly. Hinata put his lips back to the flute and it began playing, “Distorted Illusion” Hinata said again. Nothing seemed to happen until Pilot’s eyes grew in amazement and he began looking around wildly “What is this!?” he screamed he then charged and slashed at empty air “Come back here you bastard!” he screamed again. Hinata came over to me and broke the shackles off, “What did you do to him?” I asked, it is the power of my Zanpakuto, Mateki (Demon Flute) I used its power ‘Distorted Illusion’ and it causes whoever I target the sounds of my flutes to, to experience a distorted illusion of a black and red mountainous scenery and illusions of me constantly playing it” he explained. “That’s quite frightening…” I feared, “Don’t worry I won’t ever use it on you” he laughed. He then walked over to Mitsuaki, “Oh dear, are you okay Mitsy?” he said flirtly, “Mitsy!? Take your foolish nicknames and get out of here!” Mitsuaki exclaimed and folded his arms while Hinata smiled. “It’s not over though” Hinata turned his head towards Pilot still slashing at nothing and grunted every time. I rose up from the grass and held Mizumi and later aimed it at Pilot, “Water Sphere!” Mizumi was encased in water which later slash at Pilot and encased him in a bubbly circular water sphere. “Ionic Vortex!” I heard Mitsuaki say, swinging his sword in a circular motion before releasing a Lightning Tornado.
We went over to Pilot’s area to check his remains, his body was severely scarred and injured but he was still breathing; barely. “You didn’t kill him?” I asked, “I don’t kill. That’s not my thing” he said. “You…. Should’ve killed me…” Pilot struggled to say “H-..How can I face my… -cough- boss now?” he whimpered. “Don’t worry… With those wounds you’re going to die soon” Hinata reassured him and Pilot seemed to have a smile.
Chapter XIII: Soul Society Makes Its Move!
“If I wasn’t there just imagine what would’ve happened Mitsy. And I don’t understand how he was beating you up like that; I know for a fact that you’re stronger than that. What happened?” Hinata asked Mitsuaki “I agree with Hinata” Aimi came up, “You have your Vaizard mask, your fusion and even your Bankai” Aimi told him. “Bankai?” I asked “Yeah. Bankai is the next stage after Shikai and its even 10x more stronger than a Shikai” Aimi explained. “Yeah yeah so what if I was holding back?” Mitsuaki replied crossing his arms and looking away. “You’re willing to hold back to the extent of even dying?” Daisuke asked “I thought we’re focusing on Spellcasters and finding Nayoka’s relative instead of lecturing me” he replied calmly. “Hey” a familiar voice replied at the door “Long time no see Nayoka” I looked and saw Ikkaku smiling. “Ikkaku!” I ran and hugged him. “You know him?” Hinata asked “Yeah, I owe him for my Shinigami self now. Oh and by the way, I’m just noticing it, where’s Kiyoko?” I questioned “She’s out for her daily strolls through the forest” Daisuke replied. “Anyway, I was sent here to gather intel about the situation. Mind telling me everything?” Ikkaku asked.

“Pilot was defeated you say?” the leader asked “Yes sir” Sora replied. “Hmmm…” the leader thought. “Send in Ms. Amazon” the leader commanded “And may I ask who defeated Pilot?” he asked. “Nayoka Kiminoko, Mitsuaki Saisei and Hinata Kurosawa” Sora replied. “I see… On second thought, send in our Secret Weapon and modify him if you would please.” “Yes sir” and the leader started to laugh “This should be interesting.”

“Mrs. Wife of mine, tell me my second is fine, we’re preparing for war and I don’t want to go too far~” Shin Mizushima rapped. The Squad 4 Captain giggled “It’s always a good thing to hear your raps, Shin” Her name was Yoko Mizushima, she too was dark-skinned. “Come let me show you to him” they began to walk to the infirmary room ‘316’ and slowly opened the knob. “Who are you!?” Yoko exclaimed, staring at Jynx sitting at the bed. “What happened to Jin Kemijoki?” she asked. “He won’t be… Joining us today” Jynx laughed “What are you?” Yoko asked but Shin stepped in front of her and took off his sunglasses. “I don’t care who you are… Nor what you are… But you do not trouble my lieutenants!” Shin screamed, charging at her with his fist even Jynx had seemed surprised. BOOM! The blow landed but as the smoke cleared he didn’t attack Jynx, but his own lieutenant Jin. Shin & Ayoka were in deep shock, barely able to move as Jin dropped on the ground with his abdomen smashed in. “Wh- What did you do!!!!” Shin screamed at Jin who was in the opposite side of the room “Me? I didn’t do anything. You did this with your own hands” Jynx snickered “Grr” Shin growled “Bye bye now” Jynx waved, teleporting away. Yoko rushed over to Lieutenant Kemijoki and placed him on the bed, she ran out and called her lieutenant, Akira Temujin to perform an emergency heal.
“Hello there Spellcaster” the Captain-Commander immediately greeted Jynx as she teleported in his room; “Want some tea?” he said nicely pouring out some in a cup. “Are you supposed to be the leader around here?” Jynx asked “If I say yes, would that make you and your Spellcasters stop making trouble?” he replied smiling with Jynx laughing. “Is this some kind of joke? How is a numbskull like you Captain-Commander?” she replied and he sighed. “I don’t think you came all this way to ridicule me of my personality, what is it you wanted?” he asked Jynx. “We’re commencing a war against you Shinigamis” she proclaimed “Really now?” he gasped sarcastically “Don’t play with me you idiot!” Jynx exclaimed but the Captain-Commander used Shunpo to teleport behind her. “What did yo-“ she turned around glaring into his face which was now dark and made Jynx shiver in fear “Who’s…. An idiot?” he asked. “Get away from me!” she stepped back “Just have your troops ready! Our leader wants a thrill” she teleported away. “Reza, you catch all that?” the Captain Commander turned to the door which was being opened by Reza “Yes sir.” Reza responded formally “Mind sending out a Captain and Lieutenant Meeting please?” he asked “As you wish” Reza teleported away.
Not long after, all Captains and Lieutenants gathered in the Meeting Room. In order of how they lined up, the 1st Squad Captain Shinsuke Takasugi in the end of the room sitting in a throne with the 1st Squad Lieutenant Reza Kuchiki to his right. The first Captain a distance away from Shinsuke was the 2nd Squad Captain and Commander of the Covert Ops, Hikari Takanashi along with her lieutenant Sakura Shihoin to her right. Beside her was the 3rd Squad Captain Tsubasa Nakahara with his lieutenant Shuzu Nakahara to his right. Beside them was the 4th Squad Captain Yoko Mizushima with her lieutenant Akira Temujin at her right. Beside her was the 5th Squad Captain Izumi Kuchiki whom was without a lieutenant, and her sister the 6th Squad Captain Hikari Kuchiki. Across from her was Shin Mizushima the 7th Squad Captain without his lieutenant and beside him was the 8th Squad Captain Daichi Hoshino and his lieutenant Takashi Hashimoto. Beside him was the 9th Squad Captain, Haru Yamamoto and his lieutenant Ren Hoshino and to their right was the Squad 10 Captain Shinobu Uchiyama with his lieutenant Kohaku Mishima. The Squad 11 Captain Takeshi Kenpachi was beside them with his lieutenant Kenta Miyagi. The Squad 12 Captain stood beside them, Keiko Tsudasa who was without a lieutenant. And finally, the 13th Squad Captain Kenshin Tanaka and his lieutenant Yukio Raiden. “This Captain-Lieutenant meeting was called to order for 1 purpose only. That is to discuss the war the Spellcasters have proclaimed on us. Shin, I heard you encountered one of the spellcasters, the same one that told me of the war I presume. What was she like?” the Captain-Commander asked Shin who was now clenching his fists in anger. “SHE WAS A MONSTROSITY!” he enraged “She casted an illusion-like spell. I was attacking her and when my fist had hit, I had hit my lieutenant instead and she had an ability to teleport.” He looked away, “I’m sorry I don’t know more” Shin finished and all the Captains and Lieutenants just looked at him. “I see…” the Captain-Commander thought. “I had received the information Ikkaku gathered from the Real World. The one we encountered is known as Jynx. They’re 2 other known Spellcasters, Sora who's fate is currently unknown and Pilot whom was defeated by Nayoka Kiminoko, Hinata Kurosawa and Mitsuaki Saisei. I will send a copy of this information to every squad after this meeting, I want Squads 1-3 lieutenants 3rd seats to 5th seats to guard the South Soul Gate. Squads 5-8 of the West, 9-11 of the East and 12 & 13 of the North, Captains are to go at their named Squad Posts when your respective lieutenants report strange happenings. Squad 4 is to remain in their barracks and stock up on all healing equipment, I shall have 5th, 6th and 7th seats of every squad guarding the 4th Squad barracks. This is to take effect tomorrow morning at 9 AM, is this information understood?” the Captain-Commander commanded, which was replied with a hearty “Yes sir!” from everyone in the room. “All right then, go to positions” the Captain-Commander smiled.
Chapter XIV: Vaizards VS The 2 Enemies!
“Shouldn’t you be going to school?” Mitsuaki asked “No, we’re on Mid-term break. There’s about a week and a half left” I told him “Long break” he responded. The Vaizards and I were all in their hideout until we heard some rustling in the bushes. Everyone immediately began to wield their Sealed Zanpakuto; until a Squirrel popped out of the bushes “It’s just a squirrel” Aimi scoffed “Just a squirrel?” a voice whispered and only the hum of the sword lashing against the air, we all turned around and Aimi was on the ground covered in blood, we all looked up to see the figure and I was paralyzed in my own astonishment. Dante had caused the crime. He was wearing a thinner and tighter version of the Shinigami outfit with his blade back in its hilt. “Dante!?” I screamed and he looked at me “Hmph. You’re so pitifully weak. I’m ashamed you’re my sister” he scolded me but I took no harm from the words because I knew he was being mind control’d somehow “Snap out of it Dante!” I screamed at him “Snap out of what? I’m perfectly fine” he chuckled but I could only grit my teeth. “He won’t listen to reason Nayoka. We have to fight it out of him” Mitsuaki put his hand on my shoulder “I wouldn’t mind a good warm-up” Dante said twirling his arms. “You do realize its 6 against 1 right?” Kiyoko reassured Dante. “Wrong” a voice behind us said. She was a tall dark-skinned woman with no shoes and wore a long brown, torn dress with a bone necklace around her neck and long blue hair. “Daisuke, Hinata, Kiyoko, think you could handle her?” Mitsuaki asked “Fine” Daisuke scoffed. When the three turned to the Amazoness, a child who seemed to be about 4 years old appeared from behind her and clinged to her dress “You have a kid?” Hinata asked “Yeah, what about it!?” the Amazoness exclaimed “What happens if you die? What’ll we do with him?” Hinata asked concernedly “Shut up and let’s fight! Never mind the kid!” she pumped up. “You sure that you two are enough for me? You might need more” Dante smiled. “Two is enough” I glared. “Amazoness” Dante called out to her “What? I have a name by the way” she snapped back “Yeah whatever. Take your fight outside, would be bad if we fought so close” Dante said calmly “Ugh… Fine” the Amazoness replied and ran out the barn with the three Vaizards chasing her. “Let’s get this started hm?” Dante said.
“Come out with the flash of lightning and the sound of thunder, Hikaru!” and Mitsuaki’s sword changed into its Shikai form. “Flood, Mizumi!” and my sword changed too. “I guess it would be polite to show you my sword too, wouldn’t you say?” Dante calmly said rubbing his sword. “Release your anger, Arashi!” a cloud of smoke formed around Dante and later disappeared. His katana transformed into a yellow sword in the shape of a lightning bolt and in the middle of the sword was a cut-out of a lightning bolt figure too. “So that’s your Shikai?” I asked, “If you think it doesn’t look frightful. Then you have another thing coming” Dante chuckled.

“What’s your name, Amazoness?” Daisuke asked. “Erica Tsuzukimora, an Amazoness Spellcaster.” Erica told them. “And your daughter?” Kiyoko asked concernedly “Chip” she smiled at her. “No need to introduce yourselves. I already know of you. But I know you know nothing of us” she told them “What do you mean?” Hinata asked “I bet you didn’t even know that we Spellcasters have ranks and are given a number to signify how strong we are.” She informed them “Could you educate us more please?” Hinata smiled. “Our leader is number 1 and his rank is ‘Boss’. Sora is number 2 and his rank is ‘Intel’. Jynx is number 3 and her rank is ‘Infiltrator’. Lucy & Layla are number 4, Lucy’s rank is ‘Medic’ and Layla’s rank is ‘Diversion’. Dante right there is number 5 with no rank, I’m number 6th and my rank is ‘Battler. Pilot is number 7th and his rank is ‘Strength Tester’. To me, Pilot’s rank is the most saddening… He is sent out first to test how strong opponents are, he’s much stronger than you think but he was caught up in his own glory” Erica explained. “Let’s get this fight started, shall we?” Kiyoko asked “Sure” Erica replied and she took up Chip and put her on a tree branch away from the action.

“Ugh….” I said, I groaned as the sunlight phased through my window and sat upon my face and burned my eyes. I gripped the sheet and dragged it over my face, shielding me from the rays of sunlight just when my brother Dante called out, “Nayoka! You up yet?” he ran into my room, he was a 14 year old boy with a blond emo hairstyle with all his hair forming into a bang around his left eye. He was wearing a black marina accompanied by a blue skinny jeans and sneakers. “Get up” he said taking the sheet away from my face, “Fine... Fine” he went back downstairs and I got up out of bed and got ready for school.
I stood in front of the mirror to make sure everything was in order; I wasn’t fond of the school uniform, as I felt it was too formal. I was a 17 year old blonde-girl by the name of Nayoka Kiminoko; my hair was a long blonde hair that was never particularly in any other hairstyle. My school uniform was a white tucked-in shirt with a gray vest over it and a dark blue skirt that reached the knee. The boys would wear a white tucked-in shirt with a gray vest and dark blue pants with the occasional black shoes. “Hurry uuuuuuup” I heard Dante whine, “I don’t wanna be laaaaate.” I walked downstairs and went outside and began to walk to school with Dante, “You could’ve just leave me y’know, it’s not like we’re twins” I told him with a smile, but it seemed he wasn’t paying attention, his attention was fixed over in the woods with a frightful look on his face, I looked over in that direction too and I felt what Dante was feeling. It felt like bad luck and evil, “Go on ahead to school” I told him with a smile, “I’ll go check it out” and I quickly ran towards the woods without realizing that Dante was telling me something.
I was running quickly, with my one-strap schoolbag swaying heavily to and fro from my side. I heard a smash and dust began flying everywhere; I found a nearby tree and hid behind it. I was hearing sounds of laughter and grunts, I peeked out a bit and saw a middle aged man dressed in a black kimono with white highlights and a sword trying to fight a black beast-like creature with a white mask. The creature “Stop it!” I screamed running out on the battlefield in front of the dying man, “What are you doing human? No! Don’t worry about me, just run away!” the man responded, “No… I can’t simply just stand by and watch a deformed creature kill a person… That’s not how I work” I responded. I looked around for his sword, and I spot it; on the ground filled with dust around it, I dusted it off and lifted the sword and held it firmly in my hand and took an offensive stance. The man seemed startled for whatever reason I don’t know; “Ahhhh!!” I screamed as I charged at the creature when it swerved its hand in my direction, I ducked and ran past it and jumped to its face and pierced the sword through its mask and it disappeared.
“Why were you shocked earlier when I picked up the sword?” I asked the man as I helped him up, “The only person to wield a Shinigami’s sword, is the Shinigami himself and anyone else who has an equal or higher Reiatsu” he responded, “And I’m a 4th seat, Ikkaku Jacobi of the 6th squad” he finished. “Not sure what that all means but I guess it’s a good thing” I responded with a smile; I looked at my watch, “Oh no! I’m late! Sorry gotta run!” I said running and waving back to Ikkaku.
Chapter II: The New Shinigami On The Block
“You like him don’t you?” Rin asked me giggling. Rin Kagami was my best friend; she was the same age as me and a bit shorter, me being 5”10 and she being 5”8. She had short blue pixie cut hair; we were talking on my bed in my room at home. My mom was out. and Dante had gotten detention so he was still at school. I began giggling in response to her question; “Nah, even so, Mezashi wouldn’t have time for a girl like me” I blushed. “I sense love in that answer” Rin teased as I playfully pushed her. Hm? I said to myself as I looked through the window, I feel something bad over there… And I can feel the ground shaking, I thought to myself. Rin seemed to notice me spacing out, she turned to look out the window in the same direction I was starting at, “Is something wrong?” she asked, but I didn’t hear, I was too focused. She shook me and asked again, “Are you okay?”
“Oh, yeah, I’m fine” I responded, “You were spacing out quite a bit” she said, “Oh sorry, I just remembered that I have to go pick up something for my mom, be right back!” I exclaimed as I ran out the room and rushed outside towards the location from where I had gotten the bad feeling. I peeked around the corner and noticed that Ikkaku was fighting another creature, except he was slaying them faster. Did he improve? Or were those creatures just weak? I thought. When he was finished, he placed his sword in its case in a calm way and spoke, “I know you’re there, you can come out… Nayoka” he said turning around. I was surprised he knew my name, “How did you know my name?” I asked surprisingly “I have my ways” he said calmly. “I would like you to come with me” he said calmly looking at me, “Go with you? Where?” I said concerned, “To my home world, Soul Society, the council would like to have a word with you” he said. “S-Sure…” I stuttered. He grabbed his sword and flipped it the other side so the end would be touching the air, it started to glow and it seemed as though he was rubbing the sword along a wall striking the air with the sword and then dragging it down to the ground; the area that was touched by the sword was glowing white. He then grabbed the area that was glowing and extended his arms, which in turn, extended the area itself which seemed to be a portal. I gasped at the sight of this. Who is he? No… WHAT is he? Am I dreaming? I thought. “Come” he said calmly extending his hand out to me, I may have hesitated, but I grabbed it and he led me through the portal.
I appeared in the center of a massive round room with a large amount of people wearing a black kimono with a white clock around a round desk. The walls had windows that weren’t really windows when you actually realized it, they were just big, square cut-outs in the walls and between each ‘window’ was a long red curtain. My attention was brought to a man who was sitting in a high desk and chair in front of everybody else who rose to speak, “I, Patrai Demine, captain of the Council of 46 verify that the meeting to address the human, Nayoka Kiminoko has now begun” he said pounding a gavel. Just then, Ikkaku left from my side and left the room and I was a bit startled. “Nayoka Kiminoko” the captain said, him calling my name had startled me “Yes?” I responded timidly. “Do you know why we have summoned you?”
“No sir” I said timidly again.
“Can you recall the time you saved Ikkaku Jacobi from a hollow?”
“Hollow?”
“A hollow is a black creature with a white mask, for your purpose I dimmed down the definition” he said with a snicker.
“I do, but what does that have to do with me being here?” I asked.
“Well ma’am, to lift the Soul Slayer of a 4th seat is quite impressive, being a human as you are. I notice that you have an… ‘Intriguing’ amount of Reiatsu, although it’s not fully unleashed, maybe because you don’t know how, or you don’t have a motive, maybe both” he said. “Do you get the conclusion I’m getting at?” he asked.
“No sir.” I said formally.
“We’ve deliberated it already, and you’d make an interesting Shinigami, so we’ve decided. You shall be a Shinigami” he said pounding his gavel. The same moment he pounded his gavel, I felt a sharp pain in my left chest, I struggled to look down to see what it was, it was a sword. No… It was a Soul Slayer. Ugh… I Can’t... Move... I’m… Going- Just at that moment, I fell to the ground unconscious.
Chapter III: The Over-Aged Captain!?
I shot up from a bed quite frightened. I then sighed in relief that I was okay. I then noticed my clothes; I was wearing the same clothes that were worn by the Shinigamis. The same black kimono with a white ‘belt’ and sandals with socks. “I see you’re awake” I heard a voice say. I turned my head in surprise, “Hikari Kuchiki, Captain of the 6th Squad, which is the squad you’ll be placed in” she was short, about the height and looks of a 12 year old. She was very white in colour, with bright yellow eyes and a purple diamond in the middle of her forehead, she had short white hair that extended just above her shoulder. “If you’re the Captain… Where is your haori? As a matter of fact where’s your kimono too?” I asked. “I don’t like them. I was permitted to wear these instead” she was wearing usual traditional Japanese clothing with small white flowers along the edges. “I take discomfort in them. And please, before you say anything, do not see me as a child for even as how I look, I’m actually 234 years old” Captain Hikari said calmly and I was extremely surprised by this. “2..2…230!? But you look like your just 12!” I exclaimed, and she sighed. “In Seireitei, the appearance of a Shinigami is 10 years per Human years. Since I’m 234, I would have the appearance of a 23 year old.” She explained, “Yeah but, you look like you’re 12!” I exclaimed again. “My sister and I are both captains in Seireitei, she has an even younger appearance than I do but we have inherited a sort of Sealing Technique to make ourselves appear younger which also would lower our Reiatsu because…” she voiced off with a sad look, “Because?” I asked.
“You see… There are 13 squads in Seireitei, 1 through 13. Their duty is to protect Soul Society. However, there is a Squad 0, which consists of 5 members and 5 members only, 1 member is about the strength of about 4 or 5 captains. Their job is to protect the Soul King. The Soul King currently has only 3 members of Squad 0 and is looking for 2 more. My sister and I have the highest Reiatsu in Seireitei inclusive of the Captain-Commander himself, but we don’t want to join Squad 0 as we like it here in Seireitei.. That’s why we nullify our Reiatsu and try to stay away from fights” she explained. “Oh…” I said with sadness, realizing her sad story, “But I want you to work hard at being a Shinigami” she cheered up, smiling “My sister and I do not have any Lieutenants, I don’t know about her but I plan on keeping mine empty just for you” she said happy once more. “I would like to introduce you to the other captains soon but not now, you’ve had quite a day, you should go home and rest.” She said tossing me a Zanpakuto, “Is this?...” I asked “Mhm. It’s yours, take good care of it”
Later that day, Ikkaku came by and was teaching me how to slay Hollows and all about a Zanpakuto. I placed all my heart and soul into being a Shinigami because somehow… I could just sense that danger was coming soon.
Chapter IV: Rebellion of the Zanpakuto Spirits
“Have you noticed it… Reza?” the Captain-Commander asked his lieutenant “Yes, sir. The reports were true, it seems that Never-Before Owned Zanpakuto Spirits are rebel’ing against Shinigami” Reza responded. “I see…” the Captain-Commander responded, “Hopefully I won’t have to lift a finger during this rebellion, their most likely doing it out of rage anyways” he responded. “Send Captain Hikari and her squad to the Real World to investigate please” and then he sighed. “I’m tired… Think I’m gonna take a nap” he said, “Sir” Reza said, “Hm?” “Which Captain Hikari would you like me to send?” he asked. “Which Captain Hikari… Wait! We have 2 of them!?” he exclaimed starting to laugh a bit “Squad 2 Captain if you please” “Yes sir!” Reza responded, “And… Reza” he called to him, “Hm?” “Would you please notify the Shinigami… Nayoka of this and… Bring me her brother if you please” he told him. “Yes sir!” Reza said walking off, leaving the Captain-Commander sighing of tired-ness.
I heard a scream. Not just any scream. It was Rin’s. I jumped out the window as I transformed into my Shinigami state. I’m coming Rin, hang on I thought to myself. When I arrived at the horrific scene, I saw Rin struggling inside the mouth of a Hollow, half of her was inside already. “Don’t come any closer… Or the girl will experience excruciating pain” the Hollow looked at me with devious eyes as it snickered. I didn’t listen, instead, I ran ahead towards the Hollow and it swung its hand from the right as I ducked and went below it I jumped up and slashed the top of its head before it grabbed me and threw me. “Well then… Have it your way!” the Hollow said laughing. Its teeth began to glow red and it sizzled Rin’s body “AAH!!” she screamed “Nayoka…. HELP! It’s hot!” she screamed for me. I gripped my Zanpakuto even tighter and charge full on ahead, it used its left hand to throw a punch at me but it failed, I shoved my sword deep into the arm. It screamed in pain and dropped Rin and vanished. “Rin! Rin! Are you okay!?” I screamed as I ran to her. But she was unconscious; I took her home and had Ikkaku take care of her. He brought some members from Squad 4 who told me she’ll be alright, which made me glad.
“Nayoka Kiminoko” I heard a stern feminine voice behind me say. I turned around surprised, it was a Captain. “I am Hikari Takanashi, Captain of the 2nd Squad and Captain of the Covert Ops. We were sent here by the Captain-Commander to tell you information on a potencial rebellion of Zanpakuto Spirits” Hikari explained. “Zanpakuto Spirits?” I asked, “Yes. As you know, every Zanpakuto has a name and a form, but that’s not it. The entities of a Zanpakuto come from the Spirit World, where Zanpakuto Spirits live and when a new Shinigami erupts, a Spirit is chosen. These Rebellious Spirits are saying that they are tired of serving under Shinigamis, so I want you to keep an eye out for any mischievous happenings” she explained again. “Right. I will, thank you for notifying me” I responded “Your welcome.” She said disappearing.
Chapter V: Shinsuke Takasuki: The Fearful Captain-Commander!
I visited Rin at home, she was in her bed still sweating. “Do you feel better?” I asked her, “Yeah but… I do feel kinda hot” she responded. “Take it easy okay?” I said smiling. “I’ll be back later” I called to her walking out the room, “Thanks for coming…Nayoka” she said “Don’t mention it” I said with a smile. Suddenly, walking outside the area felt hot. “Whew..” I said fanning myself with my own hand. I turned and turned to see if anyone was outside to see if it wasn’t just me. All I could see was a tall teenage boy with fiery spiky red hair. He wore a white marina and an orange jacket that wasn’t buttoned and neat orange pants with orange sneakers. “Hey you” I called to him, “What is it… Shinigami?” he asked me with darkness in his eyes. I stepped back and was shocked! I wasn’t even in my Shinigami uniform “Why so surprised? Can’t tell why I know that?” he replied. “I’m a Zanpakuto Spirit” he said again, this shocked me even more as I recalled the time when the 2nd Squad Captain told me of them rebel’ing. My eyes went in a serious mood “Don’t even bother trying to fight me… It will be useless, also I’m not with those hooligans. I may have stepped out of the Spirit World but that’s just because it was boring there, if not I will even help you defeat them.” He said confidently “What’s your name, Shinigami?” he asked “N-Nayoka Kiminoko” I stuttered. “I am Kazan… A fire Zanpakuto Spirit. I’ll see you soon then, Nayoka” Kazan said disappearing.
I was feeling in good spirits now that I had a Zanpakuto Spirit on my side. I went home and saw my mom cooking, “Ah, where’ve you been all day Nayoka?” she said happily “At Rin’s” I replied, “Oh, is she feeling better?” she asked “Yeah but she says she still feels kinda hot” I replied. “Poor dear” my mom said. “What’re you making?” I asked, “Fish Soup, oh and hey have you seen Dante all day?” she asked “No, why?” “I haven’t seen him since yesterday… But knowing him he’ll just come back sometime soon” my mom said cheerily and began humming a song. I went upstairs and saw Ikkaku waiting for me on my bed. “Ikkaku!?” I exclaimed, “What’re doing here?” I asked and he sighed “The Captain-Commander has called for a meeting” he said “But what does that have to do with us? Isn’t it the Captains alone?” I asked “No… This is a different meeting, the 1st of it’s kind. It’s a Universal Meeting, meaning every Shinigami in the entire world is to be there” he said. “That’s possible?.. So many Shinigami’s gathered in one area?” I asked. “I don’t know, but let’s go.” He pushed his sword into a blue gleam of light and twisted it, and a blue portal opened just for us. Not before long, we were in Seireitei, there were way too many people gathered at the 1st Squad Headquaters. It looked to be over 1000 people, “Ugh… I wanted to be in the front too” I complained. “Nayoka” I heard a soft similar voice say as I turned around, it was my Captain, Hikari. “Captain Hikari..” I said, “Come with me, we’re going closer to the front, grab my hand” she said smiling and I did just that. The diamond on her forehead was glowing a dim colour and she went soaring through the air, “You can fly!?” I exclaimed, “Yeah, I like doing it too” she said. She dropped me in the front of the entire crowd as she rose higher to join the other Captains on the balcony of the 1st Squad Headquaters.
“Mornin’, Mornin’” the Captain-Commander spoke. This was my first time seeing him, he was about 6 feet tall with Black hair with 3 dreads coming down from the back of his head from underneath the rest of his hair, who looked to be in his early 40s. “Is that the Captain-Commander?” I asked Ikkaku. “Yeah. Shinsuke Takasugi, he’s a truly fearful man” he said smiling. “Fearful? He doesn’t look mean as a matter of fact, he looks nice” I responded “Yeah. But that’s not what I meant. I was referring to his Zanpakuto, Shadoumonāku” he said calmly. “What’s so fearful about it?” I asked, “What’s not fearful about it. It’s a Shadow Zanpakuto so from right then it’s fearful. He can control your Shadows and even step in them and attack you from the inside. His Bankai’s even worse… He will summon his Zanpakuto Spirit itself to surround him and trust me, there has been a record of 0 known people to have survived.” He said, I could do nothing but gulp. Is he that fearful? I thought to myself staring at him.
“As you all know” the Captain-Commander spoke, “Zanpakuto Spirits are having a rebellion. Hopefully, Captain Hikari of the 6th Squad, Captain Sukai of the 7th Squad and myself won’t have to lift a finger. I would cause too much damage, and the other 2 Captains, well, we don’t want to see them leaving into Squad 0. The lieutenants and seats from 3-6 from Squads 1, 2 and 3 are in charge of keeping watch over Soul Society. The lieutenants and seats 3 & 4 of Squads 9 & 13 are in charge of keeping watch over the Real World.” The Captain-Commander commanded. “Because Soul Society… Are now at war” he said with a stern face. “Ha-ha! Bye bye now!” the Captain-Commander said with a big smile. “He’s such a loose cannon… I’d expect him to be more stern” I told Ikkaku “Yeah but I like people like that, I don’t really like stern” he said disappearing.
Chapter VI: Encouter with the Zanpakuto Spirit, Ruto!
“Ggrh..” I grunted in my sleep. The night was cold and I couldn’t sleep, I got up and look through the window. “It’s so calm… I can’t believe we’re going to fight. I can’t believe I’M going to fight…” I thought to myself. Just then, several shadows began moving from house-tops to house-top, I couldn’t make them out because they were far. “Perhaps that’s them now” I said as I opened my room window and jumped out to the ground. I transformed into a Shinigami and chased after the figured. When I was in close-enough distance to see them, they were all colorful; each wearing clothing of various colours. “Stop!” I shouted to get their attention, “Who are you people?” I demanded but they all just snickered back at me. The person at the front command one of the guys to back and confront me, “I don’t have time for you!” I said jumped and chasing after the others. He grabbed me from behind and threw me on the ground below him.
Seeing him close up, he was a slender teenage boy, with short, green, spiky hair who whore a green open jacket with a white marina on the inside. He also wore neat green pants with green sneakers. I got up and stepped a few spaces back, “What’s with all the green?” I asked. “What’s your name? Shinigami?” he asked. “Nayoka Kiminoko, state me yours” I demanded “Since it’s only polite to tell your name to the victim you’re about to kill… “ He said with devious eyes “Ruto… The Zanpakuto Spirit” he said and just then he disappeared. My eyes swerved all around searching for him “What’s wrong? Can’t keep up?” he said behind me and I swung my sword but he disappeared again. “You’re slow” he said once again behind me. I swung my sword but he disappeared again, I aimed my sword in front and waited 3 seconds and jammed it. Ruto was there. He gasped, “Ho- How did you know I was going to appear here?” he asked, “Did you really think I’m that stupid and slow not to follow your movements?... You must’ve really underestimated me, now… What was that about killing me you said?” I boasted as I jammed my sword into his chest. His eyes were clinched shut, and he slowly opened them surprised. I was surprised too, my sword wouldn’t budge, I thought he had some sort of force field but judging that his reaction was the same as mine, it wasn’t. He later took advantage of the situation, “Hmph. It seems your sword won’t cut me!” he said laughing. He pushed my sword away and extended his arm out which gripped against my neck which later slammed me down on the ground. “Ugh” I groaned in pain. “These stupid shinigamis are dreadful… Me and my darling girlfriend was just about to be married, when some jackass Shinigami was created and took her away from me! You stupid Shinigamis are all going to die by my blade!!” he exclaimed with nothing but rage and hate in his eyes. “Extend your roots” he said as he pulled a blade from his palm. He then charged at me throwing quick and powerful slashes that were even overpowering me. I grunted with every strike, “Can’t handle it eh!? Then let me put you out your misery!” he said smiling, his attacks got even faster. I couldn’t hold back anymore, finally one of his slashes threw me against the ground “Good riddance Shinigami!” A figure stood in the way and later held onto Ruto’s sword. “What are you doing, Kazan!?” he exclaimed as I gasped. Kazan?... What is he doing here? I thought to myself, “Ruto you idiot” Kazan said. “You’ve been consumed by so much hate that you haven’t even been able to recognize the sword you’re fighting” he said calmly. Ruto kept staring at me calmly after that, no, he was staring at the sword. He gasped “N-… It can’t be… You’re here!?” he exclaimed, I could do nothing but to look at my sword and wonder.
Chapter VII: Reza & Maunten - The 1 Minute Brawl
“Through all your anger and rage… You couldn’t even tell that it was me, Ruto” a voice came from my Zanpakuto. It started to glow a light blue colour which started to flow out the tip, it then swirled around in the air and took the shape of a female. She was brown-skinned, with long straight hair blue hair that went down to her mid-back, she wore white vinvyl boots with blue highlights at the back. She was wearing a bikini-like white blouse which curved around her breasts with a white jacket over it which wore blue highlights. Attached to the blouse was a long thin white pants. "Mizumi..." Ruto said with tears in his eyes, he ran to hug her and Mizumi accepted the hug. "I'm sorry I've done all this, it just didn't seem fair for you to be taken away during our big moment" Ruto cried, "Don't worry Ruto" Mizumi said back with a smile "If you need me, just find her" she said pointing to me as she then broke away from the hug.
“Are you?..” I asked, “Yes, I am your Zanpakuto, Mizumi.” She said. She then turned to me “Be wise to remember my name” she said with a smile “Because I won’t tell you again” she then turned back to Ruto & Kazan “Good to see you again, brother” she said to Kazan “You’re siblings!?...” I exclaimed, “Are you deaf? She just called me brother” Kazan said harshly. “Enough dilly-dallying, we need to stop the other Spirits, Ruto & I will head for the ones that went East, Kazan, go West, Nayoka go North And please… If you need help, just call” Mizumi said winking at me. I think I knew what she meant but I quickly pulled myself off the ground. I quickly sped forward but not a moment after, there was a crash and dust rising from an area, I quickly turned and headed over there. “You should get out of here” I heard a voice say, but I waited for the dust to clear first. The first thing I noticed was a Vice-Captains badge on his left arm, “You’re a Vice-Captain?” I said to him, he slowly moved his head over in my direction, it was Reza Kuchiki the lieutenant for the 1st Division. “Reza? Aren’t you supposed to be in Seireitei?” I asked “I was sent here to check up on things and I found me an Earth Zanpakuto Spirit” he said and he turned back to the man standing distantly from him. He was big with a dark-brown Mohawk and a grey marina with light-grey pants and brown shoes and was also very muscular. “Nayoka, please to watch me fight and learn what you can and please step back” Reza commanded with a light voice while the Zanpakuto Spirit smirked.
“Stage 1, Sandankai” Reza said, his Zanpakuto became a white & black Zanpakuto. It took the shape of half a shuriken attached to each other. “Stage 1?” the Zanpakuto asked, “Out of how many?” he asked again. “My Zanpakuto is efficient for various types of battles, it has 3 stages, this is the first. Please don’t get the idea that my Reiatsu increases with each stage, because it does not. The only thing that changes is my fighting style. Stage one is for close combat, Stage 2 is for long-range combat and Stage 3… Is for Brute Force.” Reza said, “Shake the earth, Maunten” the Zanpakuto Spirit said, and his fists became covered by rock. “Extend” Reza said, his Sandankai was propelled towards Maunten, the half-shurikens came apart, revealing a rope in between each, Maunten tried to knock the sword but the path curved and wrapped around his hands tightening them together. “Hm!? Is this all you’ve got? You don’t even have anything to hit me with” Maunten said. “That’s what you think…” Reza said. “Way of Destruction: Byakurai” Reza said as he extended a finger towards Maunten. A thin white energy blast propelled from his finger and later went through Maunten. “You…. You…. Bastard…. I shall remember you…. Reza…. Kuchiki” Maunted said as he exploded into small white Spirit Particles which floated in the air. “What happened to him?” I asked Reza, “When unclaimed Zanpakuto Spirits are defeated, they go back to the Spirit World.” He told me. “What are you going to do next?” I asked Reza, “I’m going back to Soul Society, you finish up here” he said opening a portal and walking through it. “Hmm…” I thought to myself, “Dante… Where are you?” I said sadly while crying.
Chapter VIII: The Captain-Commander's Release! Shadoumonaku!
“My my, these Zanpakuto Spirits aren’t doing a very good job” the Captain-Commander sighed while looking out his window. “Sir, you shouldn’t say such things!” Reza exclaimed, “I know, I know. But I expected them to do a better job than this… 4 of them eliminated in just a short time of 6 minutes” he sighed once more. “But I can already tell an approaching danger will reach us soon. Reza, how many Spirits are left?” he asked “Sir, 4 more, including the head, Nayoka Kiminoko of the 10th Squad was involved in the death of 3, sir” he explained. “I see…” the Captain-Commander then said. “Yo! The big CC! The head man, you see. I heard you got a question for me, make it interesting or I’ll go-to sleep~” a man appeared rapping. He was a tall black, muscular man. He wore sunglasses and had a black Mohawk (Similar to Mr. T) with gold bars over his knuckles. At the back of his Captain haori, there was a symbol that said ‘7’. “Hahaaa” the Captain Commander walked towards the man “Always happy to see Shin Mizushima” the Captain-Commander said. “How’s Dante?” the Captain-Commander asked, “He escaped, but he wouldn’t know how to exit Soul Society… So I suspect a third party” he said calmly folding his arms, “I see...” the Captain-Commander said. The explosion in the distance disrupted the two, “Trouble? They reached here already?” the Captain-Commander queried. There was a burst of air which was speeding towards the 1st Division. Finally, the enemies were in the room, already behind the Captain-Commander and Shin. “Ohoho. Greetings Zanpakuto Spirits, what brings you to my palace, care to join me for dinner?” he asked politely with a smile, “Nonono, dey came to listen to me rappin’, while dey fingers be snappin’~” Shin rapped, the leader was dressed in all black and pointed a sword towards the Captain-Commander “You… Are you the Captain-Commander?” he said threatingly. “If I say yes will you lower the sword?” the Captain-Commander said laughing. “You think you’re-” the leader said but was broken off by the Captain-Commander “Fade into the Night, Shadoumonaku.”
The Captain-Commander was surrounded by black Reishi which later enclosed him, “Hmph” he said in the vortex which he later absorbed into his sword. His simple katana was now a short bright white and black sword which was curved around the handle. Above the handle, there was another extension of the blade. “I’m sorry Zanpakuto Spirits, but you won’t last much longer” the Captain Commander said, all the Zanpakuto Spirits just stood in fright, unable to move. He pointed his sword at them, “Shadodansu” and the sword grew bright. After awhile, the Zanpakuto Spirits thought it was a cheap trick, but their Shadows literally stood up and started to assault them, the Captain-Commander and Shin turned their backs to them and sighed “It always pains me to see such naïve people die. But… They technically don’t die anyways” he said to Shin, “Hey, Shin” the Captain-Commander said, “Hm?” he responded “Let’s go grab some Sake, whataya say?” he said. “Of course!” Shin exclaimed and they both walked through the door, leaving the Zanpakuto Spirits being attacked.

Chapter IX: Meeting with the Spirit of Life
“Nayoka Kiminoko….” I heard a soft voice say in my dream. “Who’re you?” I spoke to a tall figure who was constantly changing her appearance. “I am the Spirit of Life” it said “The Spirit of Life? What’s that?” I asked, “Just as it sounds” it responded. “Why’re you here? In my dream?” I asked. “I wish to thank you for bringing back the Zanpakuto Spirits, as a reward, I shall grant you a choice of 2 wishes. 1. Me to bring life to any person you know, or even take it. 2. Bring an unexpectant from the dead” it said. “Bring an Unpextectant from the dead?..” I thought to myself. “Bring back my father please!!” I cried out with tears flowing from my eyes. “Masahiro Kiminoko! Please…” I still said crying. “Oh dear..” it said, “What’s wrong?” I asked. “My duty is to purify, the Spirit of Death on the other hand.. He corrupts, and I cannot take what has been Corrupted and your father, was Corrupted” it said “Corrupted?... How?” I asked, “Your father was killed by a Hollow and a Hollow is a corruption, so it has infected your father with it. But I can ask the Spirit of Death to make an exception. Farewell” it said drifting off.
I got up from my bed, it was already 10 AM, I was going to Rin’s house to check up on her along with Mezashi. “We’re almost there” I told him. “Look at that cat just sitting there” he pointed out to me, “hm?” I turned my attention to it and stooped down. It was a little black cat with big yellow eyes “How could I resist not adopting it?” I thought to myself as I lured it to me. When I rubbed its head the cat shaked it off and bit me and later ran off. Mezashi started laughing “It’s not funny!” I exclaimed, “Now let’s just go to Rin’s” I told him “Why’s that girl over there staring at us? You know her?” he asked me but I shook my head in response. It might’ve been something else but I saw her eyes twinkle and just then angry roars were heard behind Mezashi and I. “Mezashi, move!” I said pushing him out of the way. “Ugh! What was that for!? You just randomly pushed me” he exclaimed, “Wait you can’t see-“ I broke off before the Hollow slammed its hammer-shaped hand down at us but I quickly rolled out with Mezashi “Stop doing that will ya! It’ll make us look weird” he said. “Stay here” I commanded as I left him against the wall of a house as I transformed into a Shinigami “Huh? Where’d you go?... Am I dreaming?” he asked.
I was defeating the hollows quite easily I thought as 4 minutes passed, too easily, they were barely attacking. “What’s their goal?...” I thought to myself “Wait! I said to myself as I recalled being told ‘Hollows feast on Pluses and sometimes even Humans’” I turned around to help Mezashi. “Help me!” he screamed to me. He was captured by 2 hollows and I ran as fast I can, he was extending his arm for me and I jumped for it. It was too late. They took him as tears welled up in my eye “MEZASHI!!” I screamed to myself as I started to cry. “Dante… Rin… Mezashi… I’m sorry I wasn’t strong enough to protect you, but I will find out who did this to you each and I will kill them.”

“I got it… Master” a female said to a man spun around in a chair. “Good work. Hand it to me” he said, the female figure then handed the man a metal pill which contained Reishi. “Hmph” the man started laughing “It is now time for us to began our Invasion… Tell the others” he said to the female. “We Spellcasters… Should not be underestimated” which he then finished with a maniacal laugh.
Chapter X: Meeting with the Vaizards
There was an abundance of Hollows in the park. Over 2 dozen and I could barely manage to even protect myself, so how am I going to protect others? “Aah!” I charged towards a Hollow slashing its head and later jumping from it to slash another hollow straight down the middle. I was interrupted by a roar, and turned around to see a giant fist coming at me but I didn’t have enough time to react. “Huh?” a figure came and slashed the hand and later killed all the Hollows in a matter of seconds. “Who’re you?” I asked the figure. He was about my height, thin, white, with short black hair with a dark blue T-shirt and white pants with a pink scarf wrapped around his neck and flowing behind him. He turned around with his sword across his shoulder and smiled at me “Mitsuaki Saisei, and yours?” he asked “Nayoka Kiminoko” I responded. “You should really watch your back, especially when there was that much Hollows, what were you doing fighting them alone anyway?” Mitsuaki asked “I was trying to get stronger… Because too many of my friends are getting hurt and I thought the more Hollows there are the more I’ll get better” I responded. “Do you even know how to do Hado and Bakudo?” he asked “No, what are those?” I asked, “They’re spells that Shinigamis use”he explained, “How you know that? And why can you slay Hollows with a sword? You’re not a Shinigami” I told him. “I used to be” he responded, “When?” I asked.
“I used to be the 1st Squad Lieutenant, serving under Shinsuke Takasugi. But 10 years ago I was killed by a Vasto Lordes and I wandered around waiting for a Shinigami to find me to send me to Soul Society, but my Chain of Fate ran out and I was turning into a Hollow. Halfway into the transformation, several Shinigamis finally found me and restricted me and I returned to normal. I even got back my powers, but I just felt it was safer to find more people like my kind than stay in Soul Society” he explained “Like your kind?” I asked, “Indeed, Vaizards. Also, did the Captain-Commander get a new Lieutenant?” he asked and I nodded my head in response “Reza Kuchiki.” “I see… Well then follow me” he said turning around “Where are we going?” I asked, “I’m going to show you the rest of my teammates” he said walking towards the forest and I followed behind him. “Here we are” he said pointing to a large wooden building bearing a resemblance to a barn. He walked forward and placed his hand on solid air “What’s he doing?” I thought, a yellow force-field was revealed and the area around his hand disintegrated. “Come on” he turned back at me smiling and then walked ahead. As soon as I went inside of the force-field it re-constructed itself. We went inside the barn, it was filled with hay and boxes “Is this a disguise?” I asked “Yeah” he responded “Let me show you the real thing.” He said as he led me into a room, there were some faces there that were ready to greet me. “This is Nayoka Kiminoko everybody” he said “What took you so long handsome?” A guy came and wrapped his arm around Percy’s shoulder “ I was worried” he said with a soft voice. Percy seemed to get ticked off and said to the man “I’m not your man!” and took the man’s hand off him and walked over to me, everyone else seemed to laugh. Even I couldn’t help it. “Nayoka, this is Aimi Yoshida, Kiyoko Himura, Daisuke Kimura and… Ugh… Hinata Kurosawa” he said. “I would be Hinata!” the same guy who had annoyed Mitsuaki stepped forward. He was tall and had long blonde hair and wore clothing similar to that of a Marching Band. “You have a pretty name” I smiled and told him happily, “See, she thinks my name is pretty! Now I need you to say I’m pretty…” he said flirtly to Mitsuaki, “I don’t think you or your name is pretty! As a matter of fact its both fit for girls” Mitsuaki responded. As they argued, Aimi stepped forward, “Ignore those two, are you a Vaizard as well?” she asked. She had short black hair that was plaited and she was wearing a turtle neck red leather blouse with black flames diagonally going up to the neck with red pants and black shoes. “What happened?” she asked “When?” I responded
“Something must’ve drived you to to train against those Hollows. What was it?” I then thought of the Mezashi incident and explained it to her. “It must’ve been the work of Spellcasters” she told me “Did you just say Spellcasters?” Mitsuaki came up. “Yeah” Aimi answered him. “Looks like they’re re-surfing” Kiyoko came up saying. She was a dark-skinned girl with short-shoulder length black hair and wearing leather jacket, pants and boots with a black blouse. “I’m actually familiar with the one you mentioned… Her name is Jynx” Kiyoko said calmly “What’s her power?” Hinata asked “Just as her name sounds” Daisuke said from a corner. He was leaning against the corner with his arms folded and his head down, he too was dark skinned with regular read T-shirt and blue jeans human clothes and low-cut white hair. “Daisuke’s right. Jynx uses the Spellcaster power of ‘Jynx’, she can cause the worst-case scenarios to happen and can cause objects around her to be faulty. She’s a troublesome one” Kiyoko explained. “Do you know anymore? Because I doubt only one Spellcaster will be attacking” I asked “Unfortunately, I don’t. But let me explain the entire ‘Spellcasters’ to you. Spellcasters are humans with high Reiatsu who have acquired their power through being eaten by a Hollow and survive and sometimes will have acquire their power. In most cases, a Spellcaster has to say their particular style of Spell followed by a name but I’ve seen a few who don’t say names, they just activate. For example, I’ve been in a battle with Jynx, I was fighting her with my sword and was charging at her when she said Jynx #8: Disintegrate without even moving, only a purple flash in her eye and when I came within a certain distance of her, my Sword started to melt” Kiyoko explained. “I see…” Aimi thought. “Whatever happens, don’t attack her alone, and when any of you encounter a Spellcaster no matter how many of you or Spellcasters there are try to last long enough in the fight to get a sense of their abilities” Mitsuaki commanded. “I’ll take you home Nayoka, it’s not safe walking by yourself” he told me “Thanks” I smiled at him.

“Jynx…” the leader called, “Yes sir?” she responded. “It seems they know too much about you..” he said “But not enough, my master” Jynx smiled evilly “Hmph. Indeed, activate Phase 1 please, you know who to bring, right?” he asked. “I know. I’m supposed to bring Sora, right?” she asked. “Yes, now go” he smiled evilly, “That’s your target…” he said pointing at a screen.
Chapter XI: Pilot! The Way of the Sword User
“Here we are, this is your house isn’t it?” Mitsuaki asked “Yeah thanks” I said smiling “Bye” I waved to him as I opened my house gate and walked in. “Mom! I’m home!” I turned on the lights but the place was in a mess. “Mom?...” I asked around worriedly “Something wrong?”Mitsuaki came inside asking, “My mom… She’s gone” and as soon as I said that I heard a giggle. A small purple and black portal opened in the ceiling and a girl came out. She had long, bushy white hair with purple streaming in the middle. She wore black overalls with purple skid marks over from the hip to her right shoulder along with black boots. “You want to see your precious mom again? You’ll have to find her-“ Jynx said before being interrupted by a blast from Mistuaki. As the smoke cleared a man was in front of Jynx with 4 rods of light around his palm. He had neat kept chin-length white flowy white hair and wore a jacket of a Marching Band except Blue without the fork at the back and blue pants and shoes. As he let his hand fall, the rods disappeared. “I don’t believe we’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting before” Mitsuaki asked the man. “That’s right. Forgive my rudeness. My name is S ora” he said politely bowing to us. “What’s with your clothes?” I asked, “I wear these clothes…. Because I’m fabulous~” he said flipping his hair and rubbing it. “Out of the way!” Jynx pushed him aside “Listen! We’ll give you back your mom IF and only IF you do a task for our boss” Jynx commanded and threw a card at me. “And maybe… Just maybe… We’ll give you back your brother too” she laughed evily. “Let’s go Twinkle” she said flaunting her hair at me and opening a portal.
“So that’s what happened to Dante..” I said to myself anrgilly, “No worries Nayoka, the Vaizards are on your side” Mitsuaki reassured me. “Oh really?” a voice on the stairs asked. “Who ar-“ I began “Pilot, the Spellcaster. Nice to meet you, Nayoka and Mitsuaki” he said as he began walking down the stairs. “Follow me” he said walking out the door. I hesitated at first but Mitsuaki reassured me it would be safe; he led us into a wide plain area surrounded by trees “Why did you lead us here?” I aksed “Because we’ll be fighting.” He has shoulder-length flowy black hair and was wearing a tuxedo. Mitsuaki and I both took out our swords and aimed it at him “Why don’t you go into Shikai state?” he asked “We don’t need Shikai to defeat you” Mitsuaki scolded him. Pilot merely sighed “You will however, regret that.” “Don’t worry” Mitsuaki smiled at him “May I ask though, if your name is Pilot would your ability be to fly or to control things?” he asked. “Whatever gave you that idea? Spellcasters’ abilities aren’t based on their names. Jynx was just a coincidence” he laughed at us. “Mine however…. Way of the Sword #1:Armor of the King!” he said. And out from the middle of his chest were silver goo, that wrapped around his entire body except for his head, this goo then formed a Knight’s armor. “Way of the Sword #2: Sword of the Gods” he said and the same silver goo came from his hand and reached in the air and later formed a longsword.
Chapter XII: Pilot VS The 2 Shikai!
“Hmph” Pilot scoffed “I won’t even need the Sword to handle you two” and the sword vanished into Spirit Particles. He dashed so far towards us, I didn’t even see him coming he extended his foot at my abdomen and I went flying, rolling and rolling until I managed to get back my balance. I held my abdomen in pain “That armor… Is so stong” I informed Mitsuaki “It is.” Pilot seemed to overhear my sentence “My armor boosts my speed and my strength, so do it, show me your Shikai” Pilot tried to persuade us. “I’d hate to do this but..” Mitsuaki said “I guess we have no choice Nayoka. His power right now can easily overthrow us both. Come out with the flash of lightning and the sound of thunder, Hikaru!” Mitsuaki’s katana transformed into a more traditional Japanese Style katana with electricity covering all parts of the blade, “There we go!” Pilot applauded licking his lips. Way of the Sword #2: Sword of the Gods” and his sword reformed. I watched from a distance as Mistuaki and Pilot clashed, making breeze fly, leaves fall and a low disruption in the ground. “What should I do?..” I questioned myself sadly “No… What CAN I do? I know the name of my sword but… I won’t know how to use it” and I bowed my head in sorrow. But then I heard a voice, I couldn’t make it out clearly but I knew it was Mizumi trying to motivate and reassure me. I took my sword and jumped from behind Pilot, “Flood, Mizumi!!!” I shouted as I slashed at him. Mitsuaki and I backed away and stood together, the slash I gave him merely scratched part of his armor off because he hopped away from part of the slash. I looked at my new sword, it was my first time seeing it; it was a very long light-blue sword with a thin sea-blue coloured line running from the base to the tip in the middle of the sword. The bottom edges of the sword were like the teeth of a Shark. “You cut through my armor? Impressive… Now let’s kick things up a notch” Pilot said. “Way of the Sword #6: Spirit of a Hero!” a white aura flowed around Pilot and then wrapped around his armor in an ‘X’ formation. “Way of the Sword #4: Soul Power” the same aura came back but was instead around his sword. “Hahaha!” Pilot laughed maniacally as his sword outweighed Mitsuaki and I. I jumped upwards and as I suspected his attention drifted to me instead, he grabbed my foot but before he could strike Mitsuaki’s sword pierced his side. “Ugh!” he threw me in rage and slapped Mitsuaki away, he only suffered a minor injury to due the vitality of his armor.
“You two even in your Shikai isn’t anything against me” he laughed. “Way of the Sword #3: Shackles of a Prisoner” several shackles flew out from the palm of his hand and grounded my limbs “I’ll erase Mitsuaki first, and then its your turn Nayoka” he said calmly walking towards Mitsuaki. “No you don’t!” Mitsuaki struck him, but Pilot held the sword with his hand, the lightning around the sword grew bigger and more tense it did seem to hurt Pilot but he gripped the sword and threw it and later was stomping on Mitsuaki. “Mitsuaki!” I screamed trying to wiggle myself out of the shackles “Come on!!” I screamed to myself “Leave him alone!!” I screamed to Pilot but he didn’t even notice me. He put his left foot on Mitsuaki’s abdomen with Pilot standing holding his glowing sword above his head, “Goodbye. Vaizard” but just as the sword was going to impact, a flute was playing in the distance. “Hm!?” Pilot turned to the sound angrily. It was Hinata playing the black and white flute. He stopped for a moment and glared at Pilot “You don’t expect me to sit by while my dear Mitsuaki is in trouble do you?” he said calmly. “Hmph. Do you wish to join him?” Pilot smiled evilly. Hinata put his lips back to the flute and it began playing, “Distorted Illusion” Hinata said again. Nothing seemed to happen until Pilot’s eyes grew in amazement and he began looking around wildly “What is this!?” he screamed he then charged and slashed at empty air “Come back here you bastard!” he screamed again. Hinata came over to me and broke the shackles off, “What did you do to him?” I asked, it is the power of my Zanpakuto, Mateki (Demon Flute) I used its power ‘Distorted Illusion’ and it causes whoever I target the sounds of my flutes to, to experience a distorted illusion of a black and red mountainous scenery and illusions of me constantly playing it” he explained. “That’s quite frightening…” I feared, “Don’t worry I won’t ever use it on you” he laughed. He then walked over to Mitsuaki, “Oh dear, are you okay Mitsy?” he said flirtly, “Mitsy!? Take your foolish nicknames and get out of here!” Mitsuaki exclaimed and folded his arms while Hinata smiled. “It’s not over though” Hinata turned his head towards Pilot still slashing at nothing and grunted every time. I rose up from the grass and held Mizumi and later aimed it at Pilot, “Water Sphere!” Mizumi was encased in water which later slash at Pilot and encased him in a bubbly circular water sphere. “Ionic Vortex!” I heard Mitsuaki say, swinging his sword in a circular motion before releasing a Lightning Tornado.
We went over to Pilot’s area to check his remains, his body was severely scarred and injured but he was still breathing; barely. “You didn’t kill him?” I asked, “I don’t kill. That’s not my thing” he said. “You…. Should’ve killed me…” Pilot struggled to say “H-..How can I face my… -cough- boss now?” he whimpered. “Don’t worry… With those wounds you’re going to die soon” Hinata reassured him and Pilot seemed to have a smile.
Chapter XIII: Soul Society Makes Its Move!
“If I wasn’t there just imagine what would’ve happened Mitsy. And I don’t understand how he was beating you up like that; I know for a fact that you’re stronger than that. What happened?” Hinata asked Mitsuaki “I agree with Hinata” Aimi came up, “You have your Vaizard mask, your fusion and even your Bankai” Aimi told him. “Bankai?” I asked “Yeah. Bankai is the next stage after Shikai and its even 10x more stronger than a Shikai” Aimi explained. “Yeah yeah so what if I was holding back?” Mitsuaki replied crossing his arms and looking away. “You’re willing to hold back to the extent of even dying?” Daisuke asked “I thought we’re focusing on Spellcasters and finding Nayoka’s relative instead of lecturing me” he replied calmly. “Hey” a familiar voice replied at the door “Long time no see Nayoka” I looked and saw Ikkaku smiling. “Ikkaku!” I ran and hugged him. “You know him?” Hinata asked “Yeah, I owe him for my Shinigami self now. Oh and by the way, I’m just noticing it, where’s Kiyoko?” I questioned “She’s out for her daily strolls through the forest” Daisuke replied. “Anyway, I was sent here to gather intel about the situation. Mind telling me everything?” Ikkaku asked.

“Pilot was defeated you say?” the leader asked “Yes sir” Sora replied. “Hmmm…” the leader thought. “Send in Ms. Amazon” the leader commanded “And may I ask who defeated Pilot?” he asked. “Nayoka Kiminoko, Mitsuaki Saisei and Hinata Kurosawa” Sora replied. “I see… On second thought, send in our Secret Weapon and modify him if you would please.” “Yes sir” and the leader started to laugh “This should be interesting.”

“Mrs. Wife of mine, tell me my second is fine, we’re preparing for war and I don’t want to go too far~” Shin Mizushima rapped. The Squad 4 Captain giggled “It’s always a good thing to hear your raps, Shin” Her name was Yoko Mizushima, she too was dark-skinned. “Come let me show you to him” they began to walk to the infirmary room ‘316’ and slowly opened the knob. “Who are you!?” Yoko exclaimed, staring at Jynx sitting at the bed. “What happened to Jin Kemijoki?” she asked. “He won’t be… Joining us today” Jynx laughed “What are you?” Yoko asked but Shin stepped in front of her and took off his sunglasses. “I don’t care who you are… Nor what you are… But you do not trouble my lieutenants!” Shin screamed, charging at her with his fist even Jynx had seemed surprised. BOOM! The blow landed but as the smoke cleared he didn’t attack Jynx, but his own lieutenant Jin. Shin & Ayoka were in deep shock, barely able to move as Jin dropped on the ground with his abdomen smashed in. “Wh- What did you do!!!!” Shin screamed at Jin who was in the opposite side of the room “Me? I didn’t do anything. You did this with your own hands” Jynx snickered “Grr” Shin growled “Bye bye now” Jynx waved, teleporting away. Yoko rushed over to Lieutenant Kemijoki and placed him on the bed, she ran out and called her lieutenant, Akira Temujin to perform an emergency heal.
“Hello there Spellcaster” the Captain-Commander immediately greeted Jynx as she teleported in his room; “Want some tea?” he said nicely pouring out some in a cup. “Are you supposed to be the leader around here?” Jynx asked “If I say yes, would that make you and your Spellcasters stop making trouble?” he replied smiling with Jynx laughing. “Is this some kind of joke? How is a numbskull like you Captain-Commander?” she replied and he sighed. “I don’t think you came all this way to ridicule me of my personality, what is it you wanted?” he asked Jynx. “We’re commencing a war against you Shinigamis” she proclaimed “Really now?” he gasped sarcastically “Don’t play with me you idiot!” Jynx exclaimed but the Captain-Commander used Shunpo to teleport behind her. “What did yo-“ she turned around glaring into his face which was now dark and made Jynx shiver in fear “Who’s…. An idiot?” he asked. “Get away from me!” she stepped back “Just have your troops ready! Our leader wants a thrill” she teleported away. “Reza, you catch all that?” the Captain Commander turned to the door which was being opened by Reza “Yes sir.” Reza responded formally “Mind sending out a Captain and Lieutenant Meeting please?” he asked “As you wish” Reza teleported away.
Not long after, all Captains and Lieutenants gathered in the Meeting Room. In order of how they lined up, the 1st Squad Captain Shinsuke Takasugi in the end of the room sitting in a throne with the 1st Squad Lieutenant Reza Kuchiki to his right. The first Captain a distance away from Shinsuke was the 2nd Squad Captain and Commander of the Covert Ops, Hikari Takanashi along with her lieutenant Sakura Shihoin to her right. Beside her was the 3rd Squad Captain Tsubasa Nakahara with his lieutenant Shuzu Nakahara to his right. Beside them was the 4th Squad Captain Yoko Mizushima with her lieutenant Akira Temujin at her right. Beside her was the 5th Squad Captain Izumi Kuchiki whom was without a lieutenant, and her sister the 6th Squad Captain Hikari Kuchiki. Across from her was Shin Mizushima the 7th Squad Captain without his lieutenant and beside him was the 8th Squad Captain Daichi Hoshino and his lieutenant Takashi Hashimoto. Beside him was the 9th Squad Captain, Haru Yamamoto and his lieutenant Ren Hoshino and to their right was the Squad 10 Captain Shinobu Uchiyama with his lieutenant Kohaku Mishima. The Squad 11 Captain Takeshi Kenpachi was beside them with his lieutenant Kenta Miyagi. The Squad 12 Captain stood beside them, Keiko Tsudasa who was without a lieutenant. And finally, the 13th Squad Captain Kenshin Tanaka and his lieutenant Yukio Raiden. “This Captain-Lieutenant meeting was called to order for 1 purpose only. That is to discuss the war the Spellcasters have proclaimed on us. Shin, I heard you encountered one of the spellcasters, the same one that told me of the war I presume. What was she like?” the Captain-Commander asked Shin who was now clenching his fists in anger. “SHE WAS A MONSTROSITY!” he enraged “She casted an illusion-like spell. I was attacking her and when my fist had hit, I had hit my lieutenant instead and she had an ability to teleport.” He looked away, “I’m sorry I don’t know more” Shin finished and all the Captains and Lieutenants just looked at him. “I see…” the Captain-Commander thought. “I had received the information Ikkaku gathered from the Real World. The one we encountered is known as Jynx. They’re 2 other known Spellcasters, Sora who's fate is currently unknown and Pilot whom was defeated by Nayoka Kiminoko, Hinata Kurosawa and Mitsuaki Saisei. I will send a copy of this information to every squad after this meeting, I want Squads 1-3 lieutenants 3rd seats to 5th seats to guard the South Soul Gate. Squads 5-8 of the West, 9-11 of the East and 12 & 13 of the North, Captains are to go at their named Squad Posts when your respective lieutenants report strange happenings. Squad 4 is to remain in their barracks and stock up on all healing equipment, I shall have 5th, 6th and 7th seats of every squad guarding the 4th Squad barracks. This is to take effect tomorrow morning at 9 AM, is this information understood?” the Captain-Commander commanded, which was replied with a hearty “Yes sir!” from everyone in the room. “All right then, go to positions” the Captain-Commander smiled.
Chapter XIV: Vaizards VS The 2 Enemies!
“Shouldn’t you be going to school?” Mitsuaki asked “No, we’re on Mid-term break. There’s about a week and a half left” I told him “Long break” he responded. The Vaizards and I were all in their hideout until we heard some rustling in the bushes. Everyone immediately began to wield their Sealed Zanpakuto; until a Squirrel popped out of the bushes “It’s just a squirrel” Aimi scoffed “Just a squirrel?” a voice whispered and only the hum of the sword lashing against the air, we all turned around and Aimi was on the ground covered in blood, we all looked up to see the figure and I was paralyzed in my own astonishment. Dante had caused the crime. He was wearing a thinner and tighter version of the Shinigami outfit with his blade back in its hilt. “Dante!?” I screamed and he looked at me “Hmph. You’re so pitifully weak. I’m ashamed you’re my sister” he scolded me but I took no harm from the words because I knew he was being mind control’d somehow “Snap out of it Dante!” I screamed at him “Snap out of what? I’m perfectly fine” he chuckled but I could only grit my teeth. “He won’t listen to reason Nayoka. We have to fight it out of him” Mitsuaki put his hand on my shoulder “I wouldn’t mind a good warm-up” Dante said twirling his arms. “You do realize its 6 against 1 right?” Kiyoko reassured Dante. “Wrong” a voice behind us said. She was a tall dark-skinned woman with no shoes and wore a long brown, torn dress with a bone necklace around her neck and long blue hair. “Daisuke, Hinata, Kiyoko, think you could handle her?” Mitsuaki asked “Fine” Daisuke scoffed. When the three turned to the Amazoness, a child who seemed to be about 4 years old appeared from behind her and clinged to her dress “You have a kid?” Hinata asked “Yeah, what about it!?” the Amazoness exclaimed “What happens if you die? What’ll we do with him?” Hinata asked concernedly “Shut up and let’s fight! Never mind the kid!” she pumped up. “You sure that you two are enough for me? You might need more” Dante smiled. “Two is enough” I glared. “Amazoness” Dante called out to her “What? I have a name by the way” she snapped back “Yeah whatever. Take your fight outside, would be bad if we fought so close” Dante said calmly “Ugh… Fine” the Amazoness replied and ran out the barn with the three Vaizards chasing her. “Let’s get this started hm?” Dante said.
“Come out with the flash of lightning and the sound of thunder, Hikaru!” and Mitsuaki’s sword changed into its Shikai form. “Flood, Mizumi!” and my sword changed too. “I guess it would be polite to show you my sword too, wouldn’t you say?” Dante calmly said rubbing his sword. “Release your anger, Arashi!” a cloud of smoke formed around Dante and later disappeared. His katana transformed into a yellow sword in the shape of a lightning bolt and in the middle of the sword was a cut-out of a lightning bolt figure too. “So that’s your Shikai?” I asked, “If you think it doesn’t look frightful. Then you have another thing coming” Dante chuckled.

“What’s your name, Amazoness?” Daisuke asked. “Erica Tsuzukimora, an Amazoness Spellcaster.” Erica told them. “And your daughter?” Kiyoko asked concernedly “Chip” she smiled at her. “No need to introduce yourselves. I already know of you. But I know you know nothing of us” she told them “What do you mean?” Hinata asked “I bet you didn’t even know that we Spellcasters have ranks and are given a number to signify how strong we are.” She informed them “Could you educate us more please?” Hinata smiled. “Our leader is number 1 and his rank is ‘Boss’. Sora is number 2 and his rank is ‘Intel’. Jynx is number 3 and her rank is ‘Infiltrator’. Lucy & Layla are number 4, Lucy’s rank is ‘Medic’ and Layla’s rank is ‘Diversion’. Dante right there is number 5 with no rank, I’m number 6th and my rank is ‘Battler. Pilot is number 7th and his rank is ‘Strength Tester’. To me, Pilot’s rank is the most saddening… He is sent out first to test how strong opponents are, he’s much stronger than you think but he was caught up in his own glory” Erica explained. “Let’s get this fight started, shall we?” Kiyoko asked “Sure” Erica replied and she took up Chip and put her on a tree branch away from the action.
